How does Enteman's get away with calling thier products fat free when they're loaded with sugar that eventually turns into fat if its not burned?

Now mind you, I find their products delicious...but isn't this disclaimer a technicality? Yes...it may not be MADE with fat...but...cmon...

They can call it fat free, because they didn't add any fat in the
cooking process. It doesn't matter that the added sugar & salt
(used to mask the absence of fat) will cause you to retain water
and accumulate fat; all that matters is that _they_ didn't put the fat
in it.

Bides, if they called their "fat-free"
products "added salt & sugar" products, I doubt as many people
would buy them as a way to cut calories.

Lableing laws can be vague. When something has MSG (which some people are allergic to) there are two standards. If they put MSG directly into the product, they have to list it. If the MSG is an ingredient in one of the the other ingredients, they don't have to list it. Also, when you see "other natural flavors" that could be MSG, too. It is a natural ingredient.

The sugar does turn to fat if not burned, but they could always say, "hey, you should always run a marathon after eating that cookie". Damn, though... those cookies are DEELISHHHISHHHH!!!!!
