Mister "I cant play without Horse Juice" Giambi has been asked by the Yanks to go to the minors to get himself straightened out. What should he do?

<p>Learn how to hit it to the opposite field, or at least bunt down the third base line.&nbsp; He'd have so many hits if he'd just stop trying to pull the ball all the time.</p><p>For now, AAA sounds good.</p>

I think he should go to the minors, see some pitches and get some confidence. I think he is mentally not there, i think he can do it physically

<p>&nbsp;</p><font face="Verdana" style="font-size: 9px;">quote:</font> <a href="http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?statsId=4326">David Justice</a>,
a Yankees television analyst, made a good point the other night that
Giambi is not swinging at bad pitches, so he must still be seeing the
ball well.
<p>But his swing is a mess and his confidence looks
wrecked, and he needs to play. If Giambi went to the minor leagues, it
would be apparent that he is making a good-faith effort to get better.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>
<p> </p>

<p>&nbsp;</p><p>I have a different take on this. There have been rumors that he
doesn't like playing here. The front office said as much during the off
season. Michael Kay said on his show that Red Sox players told him
during the 2003 playoffs that he said to them &quot; You guys looking for a
first baseman?&quot; He sees the ball just fine, and I could put better
swings together. </p><p>I think he WANTS to get bought out, and get out of here so he can play for someone else. </p><p>Watch him &quot;magically&quot; re-discover his swing when he goes back in Oakland. Like Alonzo Mourning did to the Nets. <br />

Not to knock this off-topic, but here's a suggestion to David Justice: <font size="7">SHUT THE FUCK UP!<font size="2">I
can figure out on my own that getting a few hits can het a hitter out
of a slump. And that getting a few wins can start a winning
streak.</font></font><br />

That wasn't his main point. It was how much Giambi is walking, which is rare for someone in such a slump. <br />

<p>I fuckin have to get XM! EVERY game in the country, thats fuckin beautiful. </p><p>I
may be alone on this board, but I love Sterling and Suzyn Waldman. Its
showbiz, and I get a kick out of his theatrics (Though even I cringe
sometimes). I love Baseball, but I dont take it THAT seriously. Some
people act like its Religion/Science/Politics all wrapped into one. Its
just a ballgame, and I watch it to relax. &nbsp;</p><p><br />

<font face="Century Gothic"><font color="Navy"><font size="2">One thing though: If you are
going to listen to XM and watch games on TV, you need to have a TiVo or other
DVR. There's a good 4-5 second delay on the XM broadcasts. You'll have
to use the DVR pause function to bring it into
sync.</font></font></font><br />

<p>Giam-balco moans about Yanks (http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/baseball/story/309804p-265100c.html)</p><p><span class="bodytext"><p>
If he doesn't show significant improvement during the six-game road
trip that ends Wednesday in Seattle, the Yankees are prepared to
seriously investigate the possibility of buying out the rest of
Giambi's contract (he is owed about $80 million over the next four
years) since they have no interest in paying such exorbitant money to a
player who spends most of his time on the bench.</p><p>
Yesterday, Giambi questioned the concept of a trip to the minors,
since, he said, he is not the only player to slump and did have a slew
of productive at-bats during exhibition games that suggest he isn't
that far from finding his stroke. He is hitting .200 with three homers
and six RBI after going 1-for-4 with a walk and a strikeout last night.</p><p>
&quot;(The minors) might have been a viable option if I hit .190 in spring
training and then I was hitting .190 now,&quot; Giambi said before the
Yanks' rout of the A's. &quot; But I mean, that's not what happened. I was
hitting really well in the spring and everything was great. Then I went
through a tough stretch, but give me five more hits and I'm back where
it's not a problem. No one would be making a big deal of it then.&quot;</p></span>&nbsp;</p><p>Do
you fuckin believe this guy? If you're really so mad, take it out on
todays pitcher tough guy. If you still CAN anymore. Might earn you a
trade. &nbsp;</p>
