My dog used to take heartworm pills, then they gave him shots that lasted six months. They tell me the shots were causing instantaneous deaths, so now he's on Revolution. The between the shoulders liquid stuff its supposed to stop heartworms, fleas, ticks and ear mites.

Anyone now about this stuff? Should we revert to the pills, revolution is the same price as frontline and I don't have to force anything down his throat.

My dogs are on the monthly heartworm pills. They both think the pills are treats so they wuff (pun) down real quick and easy. As for the drop on the shoulders, I just don't want it on my dogs skin. I know they swear it won't effect us, but my pups are always on my bed, couch, chairs, and basically have the run of the house. Yet it may work fine for you, especially if your dog stays off your furniture and you don't have any little kids.
