to ake myself more unpopular, i figured i'd start this thread. futurama n family guy are the only things worth watching. everything else is hack bullshit. and they're not even apologetic about it. the rip of older cartoon characters and make them edgy, the put out ren n stimpy rip off styles, and simply wierd shit.

then again i only watch the history channel and comedy central. and they have enough nazi/ crank yankers programming.

I'll be honest and say the only programs I watch on The Cartoon Network are Aqua Teen and Family Guy. Nothing else on there catches my interest, not: Sealab, Tom Goes To The Mayor, Robot Chicken, Home Movies, all the Japanimation crap.......I'm sure other people enjoy them, they just aren't my cup of tea.

Family Guy, Futurama, Home Movies, ATHF (fucking awesome!), Sealab (if you like ATHF, give this another shot) and the Venture Brothers.

Tom Goes to the Mayor and Robot Chicken can crack me up at one moment and just suck the next. For 15 minutes, 9 with TIVO, I'll continue to watch. I also used to watch the Dragon Ball sagas, but the GT years were awful.

I miss the Cartoon Network that I grew up on. Nothing but Looney Tunes, Looney Tunes, Flintstones, and more Looney Tunes.

I like pretty much all of the
Adult Swim comedies other than Tom Goes To The Mayor. The commercials
for that show are funnier than the show.
I've always thought Futurama was a little hack. It has its moments, but largely just kind of hack. I love everything but Tom. Tom is just an abortion. I think Home Movies is probably the best written out of all of them. Some of those episodes are just genius. I also really love Sealab. Aqua Teen was an abortion when it started, got good and has been lately starting to suck a little.

I would love to see a show, any show, written by Ron and Fez.

I like Family Guy and Futurama. The only original thing on that channel I ever watch is Star Wars Clone Wars, but that's not a regualar show on the channel. I'll check out the new Star Wars cartoon if they get it.

"Let He Who is Without Sin Kick the First Ass!"

Sealab, et al.)

Moe, check out Samurai Champloo. It starts this weekend and is from the guy behind Bebop.

The extent of programs I watch on the Cartoon Network are the Family Guy and Futurama. I watch other stuff from time to time though nothing regularly. Aqua Teen once in a while.

most of the other cartoon shows are crap. Family Guy is great also as
well as Robot Chicken.
Speaking of cartoons... Is there any resource for all the old Bugs Bunny and other Warner Bros. cartoons that aren't allowed to be shown anymore? You know... the one's that are considered too politally incorrect, racist, violent, etc. I grew up on these shows in the early 70's and I'm not racist, sexist, or violent in the least. Why can't my kids see the same cartoons I did?

Robot Chicken is a much bigger
hit than Family Guy is. It's already getting bigger ratings than Family
Guy on Cartoon Network, and that's without the benefit of a multi-year
run on Fox, DVD releases and a multi year run on Cartoon Network. So
pardon my gruff, but you haters can stuff it!
series, but I really enjoyed Samurai Champloo last night. I also liked
Metropolis. They ought to put on movies more

Yes, but the people who run
Adult Swim have said that ratings for their series tend to increase on
subsequent runs. I read the blog of the guy who created Venture
Brothers, and he was saying before it was renewed that Adult Swim was
going to determine whether Venture Brothers would be renewed on its ratings of
second and third round viewings. Ratings did go up for Venture
Brothers, and he said it worked the same way for Aqua Teen. That Robot
Chicken is already beating Family Guy ratings once in a while is
incredible. So that bodes really well for Robot
Chicken.
I don't get it. If you like one or two shows on a
Channel , how can it blow? Shit there must be 400 channels and I
basically watch about 10-15. By process of elimination, if you are
watching it at all, you like the channel. Adult Swim has some of the
best, most rebellious counter culture programming on TV. Japanese
imports get away with stuff american animators never would. It was
single handedly responsible for getting the Family Guy new episodes.
Venture Bros. rules. ATHF should n't work or be funny, but it does and
is. Robot Chicken is at least one of the most original ideas to ever
get on TV. I mean c'mon they did a Cannonball Run episode with the
actual voices of Burt and Dom Deluise. Justice League is the best thing
ever made about comic book characters and that includes any and all
movies. They actually improved some characters instead of dumbing them
down. If you could only have 10-15 channels, I wonder how many people
wouldn't include the cartoon network.
someone mentioned that Home Movies was one the best written and I have
to agree especially the additional material that is written by H. Jon
Benjamin such as the little segments with Walter and Perry wich crack
me up to no end as well as the Coach McGuirk stuff... I also thought
Mission Hill was hilarious for the most part and still gets quoted now
and then. A shame the other episodes werent made though they were
written. And Josh Weinstein one of the writers for it was an
origional with MST3K when it was still on UHF TV which I have
seen bits of thanks to bootlegs

Champloo was way cool. I liked the jumping/scratching effect, but I've been told that's only in the first ep.

And several of the same people that did Bebop did Champloo, including the original writer/designer as Mojo said.
