NEW YORK (AP) Radio personality ``Crazy Cabbie'' will spend a year in prison for tax evasion that was discovered by the IRS after he boasted about it on the nationally syndicated ``Howard Stern Show.'' The WXRK-FM disc jockey, whose given name is Lee Mroszak, pleaded guilty in December to not paying taxes for three years beginning in 2001. That year he won $100,000 battling fellow Stern regular ``Stuttering John'' Melendez in a five-round amateur boxing match that drew a sellout crowd of more than 4,000 people to Atlantic City, N.J. at $100 a ticket. Mroszak's crime was made more serious by his gloating about it to Stern fans, U.S. District Judge Gleeson said Friday as he sentenced Mroszak to a year behind bars. ``Those folks are out there watching you, listening to you thumb your nose at the government,'' Gleeson said. Mroszak, 36, also must pay the taxes he owes. Wearing a tan leather jacket that partially covered red, white and blue neck and hand tattoos, Mroszak said outside federal court in Brooklyn that he was ready to serve his sentence. ``The judge was fair,'' he said. ``I'm sorry that it happened and I have to go take care of business now.''

Artie Lange is about the most over rated comic I've ever heard.  I guess he's funny at times, but he is NOT everything people make  him out to be on Stern's show.I hear lots of people say things like "Artie is funnier than Stern, he's the reason I listen" and "Artie saved that show.  It wasn't funny but he made if funny again."I've listened to the show with Artie on it.  I barely crack a smile.  He is unimpressive and lives up to none of the hype I've heard about him.

I think Artie does a lot of writing for stern to make him sound funnier. I also had a friend who interned at KROC a few semesters ago, and he heard through the grapevine that stern would get mad if artie was being to funny. Now I am not sure if this is true or not, just what I heard. who knows

just being on the Stern Show makes it hard for me to like Artie.  everyone there is such a Howard kiss ass it makes them all unlikeable to me.  he is the best thing on the show as his old stories are funny, but most of his commentary on what they are talking about on the show I don't like much.  he is to loud for me.  seems to go into a wacky accent alot also or screams AC/DC.  again, i'm an O&A fan so of couse i'm a little bias.

I love Artie on the show. When it's just Robin and Howard, Robin talks
too much. Plus they have no clue when they start talking about sports.
Artie can take over that subject.

I think Artie is REALLY UNFUNNY all he does is crack the same ol tired jokes, and do that stupid "FIRE" thing over and over, and i dont put it past that ego manic Stern to get mad, if someone else if funnier than him, mr."i created it all" I listen to Stern here and there, but his show is really not funny anymore, When i discovered Ron&Fez  I completly stopped listening to Stern and would listen to the replays of Ron&Fez.
