I just got word that R&F's show tonight will be a best of (presumably after the Redskins Radio show at 8:00pm) -- Apparently it's just a three day weekend for the boys, and the show will return live tomorrow night.

Well my guess is 7:00 will be the Redskins Wrap-sheet with Sean Taylor that should last till about 7:30 then all of the criminals on the Ravens who feel left out can call in.  So my guess no one will know till 8:00.

The support staff wasn't making a lot of Best Of Tapes before this suspension. They repeat stuff a lot. That's why I like having files of the show, I make my own best of.But that's sad if they are repeating something from last week. How does this suspension do any good for the Station? Is it really a punishment of Ron and Fez? Sounds more like punishing the listeners. Good Plan, Deeks!WJFK will switch to Spanish Sports Talk within months.I heard that, too. He said Redskins Radio to be fired by...  oops... followed by a best of... I just listened to the end of the D&M show and it sounded like Don was refering to the 7-8 "Larry and Chris" Sports show<a href="http://www.xmradio.com/"><img src="http://scripts.cgispy.com/image.cgi?u=skw" border="0" /></a>

talked about going on vacation for the full week (Fez is going on his
first real vacation in years; a cruise) - if they are still on JFK they

Aside from the "YMB" stuff, I don't think they would call it a "Vacation" if they were going to be back this week. They would have called it a "long weekend" if they were going to just take off Monday and/or Tuesday, like O&A are doing. A Vacation would be the whole week, or two weeks as Stern and Don and Mike do it.If they are going to do any other shows on WJFK, don't expect it until next week. Of course I don't know for sure, but I wouldn't bet on them coming back to WJFK this week.

I tried to listen, but jumped over to the hideout.. Seriously where they hell did they dig this show up?  I'd hate to admit it, but I'd listen to "JDub's Treehouse" or "The Giant Brian Show" beforethis.    Hell, I'd even listen to Leykis before this..   Damn, I have to fire up the BoneYard on XM to flush this stuff out of my head... sheesh...

I think the hope is to link 106.7 with 105.7 in baltimore, if this happens i would guess that it would be HFS music from 7-11 or whatever.  Plus Junkies in the morning you can't beat that

Because they've ended numerous Friday/pre-holiday shows over the last few months with VERY obvious and hamfisted YMB references, included a couple of shows where I was absolutely convinced they would not be back the following Monday because of how they ended Friday's show...and yet, there they were.  At this point it seems to be more a "just in case," and not based on anything R&F themselves have decided or even know for sure.  And since the show on while they're on break keeps saying they'll be back next week and they're still advertised on the station and the station's website, there's nothing that makes the latest YMB any more valid than the dozens of previous YMB's. <img src="http://scripts.cgispy.com/image.cgi?u=TheMojoPin" border="0" /> 1979 << On the streets of your town... >> "You can tell some lies about the good times we've had, but I've kissed your mother twice...and now I'm working on your dad..."

The whole XM speculation thing still baffles me.I don't understand the reason for all the secrets and rumors.If they are going to XM...why can't they say anything?  Is because Infinity doesnt want them to advertise on THEIR airwaves?  Fine.  I still don't understand why ONE official statement can't be released. Advertise, no.  Inform...yes. What's the big f'cking deal?  And I still don't understand why XM wouldn't be allowed to promote them.  How is it that Infinity can suddenly tell XM what they can and can't say?  If Ron and Fez are under a gag...fine. But, surely XM would wanna promote that they've acquired The Buddays. The names RON AND FEZ are meaningless except in the markets they've already been in. XM would really need to get some momentum going if they want people who've never even HEARD of RnF to check 'em out. Right? I think what makes this one different, was theyway Ron worded it;  Ronny thanked Kiesha, and Jonny, he said they were going on vacation and it wasn't 100% but it felt like it, and not to F with the internet folks, but it felt like they weren't coming back.  They neverat least to my knowledge in the past teases, thanked JFK, Julie Fulman, and the others.  Not saying "Ya" or "Na", so take it with a grain of saltwas sorta how it came across..

Over the weekend, the wjfk promos for loveline included Adam mentioning they come on after Ron and Fez.  Earlier tonight, that part of the loveline promo was edited out.  So, I've heard 2 versions of the loveline promo, with & without the R&F mention.  *We're putting the FAKE band back together*

I don't know what's going on, but I will throw this out -- the fact that R&F are still on the WJFK website probably shouldn't be taken as indication of anything.  Whoever maintains that thing is notoriously slow at making changes.  The Junkies had been on WJFK for weeks following the WHFS flip before they were even mentioned on the station's website.

if they are back on JFK next week they will look ridiculous. After this They better not talk about XM unless they are on XM. They are probably having a hard time getting out of their contract. infinity is known to keep pple under contract (see O and A, howard) but would they be willing to pay Ron and Fez for 2 years to sit on the sidelines if Ron and Fez quit? probably not, ron and fez arent that well known to keep them on the books and stop them from going to another station. the question is how difficult will infinity make their lives? from the looks of it looks like very difficult. i dont take any stock into what this rosenberg guy says about next monday, hes probably being told by management to say that

Ok...I'm gonna give a shot at a possible scenario. Now everyone has listened to this show long enough to know how the guys talk in a generally informal manner. This is what I got from Thursday's show.

Ronnie starts off the show by saying he didn't think that tonight (Thursday) was gonna be the YMB show and that at 11 o'clock that night they would be off for four days. Why be so specific about leaving at 11 and being off for 4 days, which would have had them back on tonight?

Then of course there was a best of on Friday, and all of a sudden there is a show filling in and announcing that Ron and Fez would be back next week. Well where did it change from 4 days to a little over a week? Maybe sometime this weekend and that's why there is a fill-in show rather than best-of.

Now immediately someone out there is gonna say that when Ronnie said 4 days he meant Tues - Friday of this week but then what happened to last Friday which makes it five days. I'm pretty sure that if they knew they we're going on vaction all this week Ron would have said "Hey we're gonna be on vaction for the next week" not just 4 days starting Thursday at 11pm.

It just doesn't make sense if you're talking informally to call out exact days and time. Listen to the intro of Thursday's show again, it just doesn't sound natural if they we're really going to be off for a week.

Yea, but they know what we talk about and what speculation is flying.  I have to agree with FIG on this one.  If they are still on WJKF next week, which they will be, they will look kinda rediculous.  And what I think FIG should have said was If they're not going to XM this week, they had better stop Radio Bating us so much because it's not fucking fair to the Diehards in here waiting and hoping.

The point I'm trying to make is why say "we're off for 4 days starting at 11pm tonight" (not the exact quote) when he really meant that they we're gonna be off for for four days following the long weekend, it doesn't make any sense. Noone talks like that. If someone says I'm off for four days they usually mean four days regardless of what weekend days are in there. It's more about the way he said it and how specific he was.

Again...why not just say that they we're gonna be off for a week knowing that they have some very dedicated and over-the-top fans who will spend hours specualting about where they are going.

God you go on vacation for a few days and the shit hits the fan.  I turn on the radio tonight and I hear this asshole.  I called Keisha and she said that they are trying something new this week with this show.  I told Keisha that the powers that be made a huge mistake this guy sucks, she told me to call Cameron.  Fezzy did mention to me a week ago that there would not be a Friday night lights because they were going on vacation.  So let's hope this is just a bad experiment, email WJFK and let them know that we want our show back and to tell them to stop fucking with Ron and Fez.

Rosenberg said it all night long, Ron and Fez will be back Monday night and The Peter Rosenberg Show will go back to Sat nights at 11. If anything, this has given me more of a chance to listen to the Hideout. They had a funny bit last night: J Dubbs asked who you would sleep with if you had to sleep with a famous guy. Tuttle picked Christan Bale (they would wake up and do stomach crunches), Chunks picked Piece Brosnan (He would go on adventures with him), Puttan picked Johnny Deep (Could be easily Subdued, more "manageable" than most guys). They then argued about why their pick made sense for a few minutes. Chunks is really funny now-a-daysJefe and J Dubbs then said they wouldn't pick anyone cause that's gay. That old Gag...

Quinn in LA JFK's stream hosed even when it's working, with it cutting into the show while they're in  the middle of a good bit, then running way longer on the breaks doing tons of PSA's andother spots over and over before the rejoin the boys. What's wrong with the Reaper?  Comes in handy if you want to listen to the show withoutthe PSA interruptions and all

for that stream, and usually one is clean. I swear at times, my
