Colts fan, so I naturally root against the Pats. I have a personal level of hatred for the San Diego Chargers, and the Chicago Bears (that just started this season).

I Hate Sports. I don't understand them, I am literally to sports what Fez is to music. Any game, whether live or over the airwaves, is like someone turned on an old-school tv to one of the UHF stations that don't come in and turned the volume up to max and left it there. Just awful.

Football, basketball, hockey, whatever. I hate beer-swilling mongoloids that can't miss a game without constantly worrying about how "their" team is doing. I hate people who come to your kids' birthday party, your birthday, a night out amongst peers, or even Thanksgiving dinner and have to leave every twenty minutes to go check the score of some team that they have no stake in their winning or losing. I hate people that sit in bars and watch every game on a Sunday while their families grow up and move on without their noticing.

I hate stat-boys and even frat-boys--smacking each other's asses when someone they've never met runs a ball across a white line on a field. I hate big, tall, uneducated "men" who have more money than God who can't put together a coherent sentence in front of a television camera, yet have the boys (and men) of a whole nation wanting to be like them. "Ah just, um, ya know whum sayun, um gots to you know, thank, um, Gawd."

I hate giggly middle-aged women who just can't get enough Derek Jeter. He doesn't want you. You're even ugly on the inside. Your Jeter jersey is ridiculous, get back to work. (Yep, I have someone in mind for that one specifically).

I've been to live sporting events before. They're ok for a little while but when you have little to no concept of what's going on down on the field, it seems sort of pointless. Even if I did understand the games, whoever wins or loses makes no difference to me because I don't know who's who amongst the players or teams. usually just end up watching the clock and counting down the seconds until I (we) can leave.

Special hatred for the last two teams on that list (especially Pittsburgh). The other ones are "meh" at this point, but one good playoff series could turn it around again. Never been too enamored of the Carolina Hurricanes or the Ottawa Senators either. Beginning to get a STRONG hatred for the Red Wings, mostly due to their fans.

ANY team from Philadelphia. Also includes their colleges, minor league teams, and anything else associated with that wretched city. Same with Baltimore.

College:

Every other team in the ACC outside of Maryland, specifically North Carolina, Duke (in basketball), Virginia, Virginia Tech, Miami, and Clemson. Not a lot of love for the Big 10 either, especially Penn State. Don't really like West Virginia, Colorado or Stanford either.

I don't watch a lot of TV. I spend a lot of time outside or just doing other stuff. Building, fixing, puttering, lawn work, et. al. I've tried with sports, and even as a kid my dad and my friends and even my peers I wouldn't consider friends, all tried to get me in the mix. I just found it to be entirely too much to follow and too much to learn. Never understood the rules and besides, there was an autobody shop next door that I sould much rather spend my time in. That's where I nurtured my mechanical aptitude and lost any and all hope for ever learning or caring about any sports.
