<p>I fought against doing a separate Orioles thread, content to do my posting in the MLB thread, but then I thought, what the hell.&nbsp; The O's are first in the AL East, and there are at least two Orioles fans on the board (which is more than there are Cubs, Jays or Twins fans, and about equal with the number of Nats fans).</p><p>Plus, it's an <strong>Official</strong> thread, just cause I can do that.</p><p>Tonight starts the rematch of the 1970 World Series, O's vs. Reds.</p><p>Go Orioles!</p><p>If I could find a good picture of &quot;Wild Bill&quot; Hagy, I'd post it here ------ &gt;</p>

<p>My prediction for the offseason:&nbsp; They hire Art Howe as manager and bring in Pat Gillick to run the front office again</p><p>Say goodbye to:&nbsp; Ponson, Palmeiro, Sosa, Surhoff, Kline, Reed, Bruce Chen as a starter (new long guy in the bullpen), probably will trade either John Maine, Adam Lloweyn or Hayden Penn, Luis Matos (maybe).&nbsp; It will be a big overhaul of that roster and oh yeah BJ Ryan will probably end up being the set-up guy for Mariano Rivera and will eventually close in NY</p><p>Play that turned the Orioles season:&nbsp; The three run HR to Ortiz in Boston in the bottom of the ninth</p>
