We all drink a lot of beverages.  Sodas, sports drinks, coffee both hot and iced, waters, juices and all the other shit.  But for some reason, do you notice that when you're drinking a can or bottle of Iced Tea, you just suck it down even faster than normal?  I really get this with Brisk.  I just opened a can, and it's fucking gone.  Where did it go?  It's so easy to drink that I hardly noticed that the whole can is gone.  Now if that was a Coke, it would probably get warm and I'd dump the rest out. <img src="http://www.eonline.com/On/Snl/PhotoGallery/Images/snl101.myers.richman.010704.jpg" border="0" />DISCUSS.  I just gave you a topic.

If you're thirsty, canned fruit punch goes down pretty quickly too.Now we're getting somewhere, because that is very true.  I could drink a can of Veryfine juice anytime, and it would be gone in a matter of a minutes.  Hmm, maybe it does have to do with non-carbonated beverages in a can.

I have to agree 100% with moe. I drink Ice Tea like i have been walking in the desert for days. But I also drink very fast out of a glass, so the can theory is wasted on me.

Ahhhhh!  Maybe this one ISN'T all wrapped up just yet! when they get warm they get really sticky, and so if you drink it, it
actually makes your mouth all gross and sticky. i think i drink iced

I get more "full" when i drink a glass of water then when i drink a glass of ice tea. For some reason, when i go to get ice tea from the fridge, i pour a glass, chug it, then pour a second one. I hardly ever drink just 1 glass of ice tea.

I think it's because water is flavorless and chugging a water-like drink with some type of flavor is more acceptable to the human circulatory system than chugging straight up water. GIMME' A SHOT!

Id say that because we all have had experience trying to guzzle down a carbonated beverage and you end up getting hiccups, so we have learned to be cautious if its carbonated.  Iced tea or any sweetened or non carbonated beverage will slide down your throat quite easily.  Im not sure why water alone tends to "catch" in your throat if you try and drink too much to fast. But I find that I could drink a beer faster than I can drink a Coke without the hiccup effect.  Is the Coke more carbonated?

Remember how in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Jay says he's the Clit master? Well....
I'm the iced tea master. Seriously, it's been a staple of my diet since I was a toddler. Don't ask why, I just have always loved it, and many of the same issues that you bring up tonight I've considered before. I forget whoever said this, but iced tea is the closest thing you'll get to flavored water (if you do it right, and it's not too sticky sweet). I prefer tea I've brewed myself or a brand called Honest Tea, which is for the most part not sweet, but so good. This makes it very easy to go down, especially when it's just ice cold. Great discussion!
Has anyone tried those vitamin waters? What are they like?

Vitamin Water is ok.  Its a little bland, but I dont like sweetend drinks anyway.  But, it does have an artificial (they say non calorie) sweetener, but I dont like that stuff. Gatorade tends to fire down your throat too when your thirsty or hung over, and I can drink like a quart of it in 10 seconds.

A bottle of vitamin water has 125 calories, as much as a bottle of lite beer.My friend who is having trouble losing weight chugs the stuff; he didnt realize.And unless someone is sweating bullets a lot and losing electrolytes, Gatorade is essentially a nice mix of water, sugar, and salt. What is it with Iced Tea lately (referring to my Tazo Iced Tead thread as well)?   I
think it goes down easily because it's non-carbonated and has sugar in
it.  I'm loving Iced Tea in the summer, especially these Tazo and
Honest Teas because they aren't too sweet.  I can't stand really
sweet iced tea anymore.  I used to......like 10 years ago make the
iced tea from powder and I used to dump 3 caps of it into ONE
glass.....yuck how sweet it was, but I loved it then!

what if you take the drink you just described, and put that in a bottle
or can. It's iced tea, yet it's in a bottle or can, so therefore it's a
tea-type beverage. What we have here is a paradox. Don't think about it

Iced tea is just the best. I usually make it way too sweet.   I'm trying to ween off it and drink more water, though.CountryTime makes a good raspberry iced tea and lemonade iced tea.

tastes like fish...yes I said fish.The tea absorbs the taste of
dead,very nutritionally rich rotting fishies in swampy shallow fishy
tea fields.We are originally salt water animals.We have salt in our
bodies and require salt to live.Fish are a food we have always
loved,whether we catch it or it is disolved and weakened in flavor.Tea
doesn't stink like dead fish,yet it can ferment.Beer could be made with
tea,and you'd have alchy tea,which would get you buzzed AND keep you up
all night pissing :)   Jerry

living in the south for a while, sweet tea blow iced tea out of the water. even though it's essentially the same thing.
