Tender is an amazing musician. Maybe the best Ron and Fez have had on in a while.

But to come in to THEIR studio and disrespect them by complaining about not getting enough credit or respect is probably the most insulting thing I have ever heard a "fan" do.

For those don't know -

Tender is in studio and doesnt feel R&F respect him or give him enough credit.

He doesn't feel part of the team.

He's a great guy and I am shocked he would stoop to this level for air time.

this is very uncomfortable, its just like a jealous attention whore ploy to get air time. i can't believe any fan would do this. i mean i was only in the studio once and just standing in the backround 2 years ago and i'm still basking in that glow. but this, this is just awful. tender is a talented guy i have always liked his songs. but it seems he can't live with the things he does do on air and just can;t be sincerely thankful

Edit; Wow he really upset fezzie, this is just a bad as mickey D

A peek into the Life of Boring Interest.

yeah I think Ron said it best:

"I can't blame Tender, it's his time of the month"

The worst part of this is - he's a nice guy with a tremendous amount of talent.
WHY bitch & complain.

This segment really put a damper on the show, too. Ron and Fez sounded really good the first half - happy, energetic, making each other laugh. Now Fez has that pissed off sound that he gets after talking about Mikey D, and Ron isn't saying much at all. What do these people want from them?

a lot of regulars get this attitude I have noticed. They do not realize that R&F kind of use them to make a good show. I am sure R&F like them as a person, but they can not talk about those people 24/7

Yet, Kathleen from the Bronx, Bribri, Lazlo and of course KOP are never like this which is how I think they stay in Fez's good graces.

%100 right. They work with the show, R&F ARE the show, the guests
and fans have to work AROUND THEM, not the other way around. I am
thrilled when Ronnie mentions my Fezzie pics that I send them, Im not
pissed when they don't. People have to understand.. its the RON AND FEZ
SHOW. not RON, FEZ and FRIENDS :)

I was surprised and disappointed that Tender came in last night to lay that shit on their feet because Tender is a nice guy, and as mentioned by everyone before, talented. However, the stuff he was saying did come across as ungrateful (R&F are so generous with their open door policy it astounds me when someone feels slighted), jealous and basically looking like he is trying too hard.

I was floored that the first example Tender came up with was getting upset because he wasn't immediately thought of when Fez mentioned which Friday Night's Lights regular he thought would participate in the Tim Harmon 5K - never thinking that (a) maybe Fez mentioned the three people he had already talked with about this and knew it would be ok, (b) there are, on any given week, up to 20 or more people at FNL, and most of them, like Tom the Cop, Jafter, Bobo, Bo, Annie, etc, are more consistently there every Friday, and none of them were mentioned either and none of their feelings were bruised, (c) Tender's niche on the show is already well established - like Perry or Jen he's someone who is known more for coming into the studio and performing, not for going out Friday nights drinking, even though he might and (d) everyone who came out to Thursdays last week was encouraged to sign up.

And as far as "Me Versus The Monster," the punk band that just came in a few weeks ago (even though R&F don't remember it, the band has been on the show before, by phone, at least once)- they were brought in by a long time friend of the show, Skellington, on the spur of the moment, and it was a one time thing to go see them that was decided would be fun - afterwards everyone that decided to go scuttled back over to Thursdays.

There were other things too, most of which got mentioned by the guys and the callers. I do think a lot of this could have been avoided if Tender didn't try so hard to be an instant on air character - those things never work out. He is talented enough that he has a spot on the show whenever he wants it; if he has a gig they will promote it (like the ones in Vienna); if he just wants to hang back and watch, he has always been welcome to do so. Just don't expect that there is anymore than 2 people in "their inner circle" - don't look for direction on everything - and don't lay your issues at their feet and make them feel guilty.

Like Jen, I got pretty upset hearing Fez have to take all this shit in, because all he has said he wants to do is go out with people after the show Friday night and have some beer and have some soup.

Damn.

I had to take off just as the whole Tender saga started. I can't wait to hear it. Was it cringe-radio or, was it all in good fun?

I'm sure it will be in the file library before too long. (Thanks Mikey!)

Yeesh, very uncomfortable.

On another note, we got a few
more tidbits on what life is like for them at the station -- what was
that about Keisha not being allowed into the building before 7pm, on
threat of being thrown out?
Tender is the real estate agent. Bobo is the sweet guy who does funny songs and cries and who has been AWOL since the Perrynoid debacle. I miss Bobo.

I don't have a psychologists degree but listening to Tender whine was awful. I've heard it all before in different situations. I don't know what it is - but it has something to do with a person living his life as if it was a movie and they are the star. They believe that everyone not only thinks about them all the time but that they care about them as well.

It's pathetic, but this "Look at me and wish I was in your life" bug that too many people get needs to be wiped out. Tender would make an excellent reality TV joke.

MAYBE Tender just had a bad night and felt like venting. He is clearly NOT where he wants to be in life.....(but who is?)

The guy is an amazing musician and hopefully he is back soon with some more great songs.

Advice for Tender as the therapist said to my ex-wife "You don't have to say everything that comes into your head." "Try editing once in a while"

He should have found a way to let it out earlier and not layed anything at their feet.

But everything he complained about had nothing to do with Ron or Fez shunning him or ignoring him. It was all about him not getting enough attention. Please.
