Blue Merle - Coldplay sound alikes.

<p>Anyone else heard of this band?</p><p><a target="_blank" href="http://www.bluemerle.com/main.html">Blue Merle </a></p><p>If
you like the way the guy from Coldplay sings then you might like this
band as well, the lead singer sounds the same, minus the whole piano bit. On their site they even have a full show
download. <a target="_self" href="http://www.bluemerle.com/music/BlueMerleLiveWorkplayTheatre.zip">60 something megs and over an hour long.</a></p><p>I found out about them about a month ago but just bothered to google them this weekend. </p><p>So that's all I have for this morning. Good free music that's worth a download.<br />

Telling me this band sounds like Coldplay is not going to get me to check them out.&nbsp;&nbsp;Coldplay is God-awful boring.

<p>Is it ever a GOOD thing when a band sounds exactly like another band?</p><p>Sure, MAYBE the singer of this band grew up singing like this, practiced day after day and worked hard to form a band, and then when&nbsp;Chris Martin of Coldplay finally showed up the radio he punched the walls in frustration over the cruel joke that God played on him...but somehow I doubt it.</p>

Yeah, we got a demo from these guys at our radio station. I played them on my show, and stopped the song halfway through cuz it was a horrendous immitation job. Their music isn't Coldplay-inspired, they're a fucking Coldplay COVER BAND. They can go fuck themselves.

Musically, I don't think they're like Cold Play (other than the guy's voice).&nbsp; They have no piano and a fiddle player.&nbsp; They can't be like coldPlay, cause I can't stand coldplay.

I saw Blue Merle last weekend, I also saw them last year.....both at
Bonnaroo. My buddy has a severe boner for them, but I'm really
unimpressed. I just downloaded their show from this year's Bonnaroo
last night and put it on my iPod this morning. After listening to the
show I came to the conclusion that I do enjoy watching them live, but
I'm not really a huge fan of them musically.<br />
