I voted that I think she's on her way up.  She can riff well on the air and usually has SOMETHING to say, even if it's not that interesting.I have a question for fans who have been listening for awhile.  Why is Keisha like the 3rd mic and when did that happen?  I don't like 3rd mics on the Ron and Fez show that aren't named Poo.  And even he talked less than her.  Is this part of their new format in DC?  Has their producer always been more talkative no matter who it is?I don't think I really like the 3rd mic idea.

i was wondering the same thing as Moe as I listened last night.  she seemed to talk alot during the show.  not sure if thats how it usually is, but i don't really like it...probably because i don't really like the black girl with attitude thing.  though i did laugh hard when a caller called her Lakeisha.

J Dubs was a default 3rd Mic because he began running the board for the show last summer, and I always thought he was one of the best - he really timed his comments, and never stepped on them at all. Giant Brian came in, and began taking on more of those duties as well - I suppose since Keisha learned from GB, and observed Dubs, it kind of developed from there.They seem to know what she can contribute, and throw it to her for topics like race, or sex, or station stuff, or depression and she often has a different perspective. I haven't noticed her just chiming in on every topic like most 3rd mics - it seems directed by the hosts. Even though she's been given an amazing opportunty, and I believe she's earned it, she's in a tough situation. I think if she sticks with R&F she can ultimately learn a lot, grow as a producer and (if they leave) I'm sure they will work to find a spot for her wherever they go. The thing is that it is all VERY recent with her in that role.

I really miss J Dubs. I've still listen to the Hideout in Orlando (if I have time after listening to O&A and R&F all day, I usually don't get around to the Hideout, but still have all the shows on my iPod and listen to at least an hour or so each week) But the only good things on the show are J Dubs and Chunks (AKA Corolla, AKA Benicio, whatever) I do like that Jefe isn't too big to let Chunks make fun of him from time to time.I don't mind the "3rd Mike" as long as they don't walk over R&F's lines. Ron and Fez have always (at least since late 2001 when I started to listen to them late night on WJFK) seemed open to other people being in that position. I don't get any impression that "management" has made this a new thing. I didn't think Ron and Fez would stand for that kind of directive. That wouldn't be a good thing to do if they were negotiating to keep R&F at WJFK.

J-Dubs was really a hilarious third mic. But he was way more laconic then Keisha is. His comments were usually short, funny and to the point. Giant Brian and Keisha have more diarreah of the mouth.

this is an ongoing thing they will let keysha talk until she puts her foot in mouth then rag the crap out of her . or let let her sink or swim . they used this technique before and it is a good training tool . she will sink or swim . if it turns into an al dukes situation they will ride her . but if she can fend for herself she will be fine . it teaches ther producer they are incharge . it also can build a producers career .

I think its too soon to figure out where she's headed at this point.  I will give her credit for following through on her bets and being honest on the radio.  Alot of people would keep quiet about being on medication and such.

I've been listening to a lot of the shows from earlier this year and I have to say that Giant Brian was sorely underappreciated as a producer on the show.  He always had funny things to add and played off of the boys really well.  J-dubs was strong but didn't seem to be quite as comfortable on the air as Brian was.  I was really disappointed when he went to Philly and I can't stand Keisha.  She should have been born a blow-job.................cause she sucks.

stuck-up, righteous views on society.  She seems like the
prototype of this "African American" she's describing.  I don't
think she's had to face much adversity while being upwardly mobile in
her life, yet she has a problem with other's who had to make sacrifices
in order to be successful.  It seems like she's been fortunate
enough to take advantage of many opportunities afforded to her, so I
don't think she knows what it's like when things don't come so
easily.  Although, wiith this attitude I don't think it will take
too long for reality to sink in and for her to get her come-up-ins (as
in a tongue removal with a pair of pliers).

Honestly, I couldn't have said it any better myself. Dukes, Staples, Bitz and Benicio make me nearly piss myself with laughter over what messes they are in their respective ways and just listen to R&F tool on them endlessly (I especially liked all the comparisons of Benicio to Rocky Balboa). I don't really get enraged by Keisha's opinions because I don't care about them. There's nothing really funny about them or the way she presents them aside from the fact that they're wrong, whereas someone like Dubs could always present his opinions in a hilarious way. Maybe what I'm saying is that I just like guys... and feel free to quote that out of context.

The problem with Keisha is
that she's self-important- and proud of it- she's ditzy, she talks a
mile-a-minute whenever she's asked a question and she got hired for a
job that Al Dukes is more qualified for than her.  At
least she's got some "huge ass titties" like Mr. Bennington said, or
she'd have no redeeming qualities. I give her 'til the end of the year
until she finds a job she's suited for and gets replaced by someone
even worse.

If R&F suddenly jumped to XM radio,wouldn't they still be in the DC
area? I don't know anything inside,but I'm guessing that things will
stay the same for awhile,since they seem to disdain taint radio.I think
that even with the recent "getting dropped" from Baltimore ,it's not an
indicator of what's to come.In the long run I wouldn't be surprised if
they opted for XM with possibly more freedom,wider audience from new
technology and less "unpredictability" simply because relations with
the WJFK BEINGS seems strained.Yes ,it did sound like a farewell show,I
agree.That's the part that just doesn't fit the complacency of my
optimism.

Whatsup guys and gals?  I'm a "new listener" to R&F.  I'm an O&A fan, and just realized I can listen to R&F on the internet.....sweet.I started listening a couple of days ago and love everything about the show with the exception of Keisha.  Jesus she is awful.  She is sooo quick to play the race card.  Enough of that shit already.  Its so played out.  She was the ONLY one who brought up her race. And this shit about "I'm going to save it for my lawyers", give me a friggin break.With shows like this you have to be able to dump on each other a little bit, its part of the fun.  But I know I would be afraid to criticize her in any way because she'd just call me a racist and I would get fired.  It must be nice to act like a twat and when people get pissed you can just call them racists.  That way you can go on acting like a twat and convince yourself that its always someone elses fault.

I cannot believe how many people dislike Keshia.  She was put in a weird spot and has tried to make the best of it.  Sure, she's going to make mistakes, she was/is an intern and is still learning. I have no idea why all of you do hate her so much.  She's kinda "chatty" but not the worst thing to happen to the Ron and Fez show.  I don't like when anyone takes up too much air time, not just her.  Don't be too hard on her.  I'm bar far a BIG FAN of Keisha, but I certianly don't hate her the way you all seem to.Cut her a little slack.  I can relate because I've been thrown into jobs I wasn't prepared for and had to play catch up in the thick of it.  I guess she's doing a decent job for someone suddenly thrown to the lions with only a shield and a pair of piss stained jeans to defend herself.

Actually. not to make it seem like I'm blowin' Perry, but why don't they just put him on?  He's got some experience in the field even if it's just amature stuff, a lot of interest, a lot of drive and loves the show.  He could be no more inexperienced than Keisha was when she was given the job, and he was almost definietly more experienced.

He explained to me, that Ron and Fez were one of the top shows in the Country and deserve the best producers in the biz and not a fan. I was pissed..but when I stopped thinking about myself,  I figured out he was 100% right..A good producer not only knows what IS good for the show... but what ISN'T. Thanks, but I care too much about the show to fuck it up by posing as a producer.

there's a big blue button that says "Quote Post".  If you sleep
better at night thinking that Cameron gets over or past stuff, then
good for you... and I could rub out a good long rant about what a
numbnuts he is, but I have to remember the classy way he treated the
Hideout when he (or more likely and as I'd like to think, his boss)
fired them.  As I said, from the outside looking in, radio is a
topsy-turvy bidness.  I have nothing against Perry, I'm just
sayin' here are the things that happened in the past, and maybe that's
why such and such. Poor Cameron.  The man went from being
personal tupperware wrangler for G. Gordon Liddy and Emperor of Airport

The show seems to be coasting alright,and Keisha may even be taking
notes when she watches TV so she will have something to talk about,to
seem like an expert on something,so she can voice her current
opinion.I'm hearing her matter less to the show as R&F depend on
their well of show bits and callers with opinions share their current
events.Now that they are in the process of weeding out weird people who
drag them down,I expect they'll prepare themselves for the next
transition.I doubt that Keisha will follow.They probably have a work in
progress of a "best " list/guest list/staff list/most wanted list.If I
know anything about how business goes,the end of the year (matching
Stern's turnover) will be the opportunity for XM to beef up their stock.
