I decided that I'm going to pick up a Blackberry, but I haven't yet done any research on models. Does anyone have any recommendations? Are there certain features I should be looking for? I'm leaning towards one that is also a cell phone so I don't have to carry two units.
Ron & Fez Show Log; Daily News Scratch N' Match is the Devil
The Music Mikey Likes Show on RadioBBQ, weekdays 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Now with new theme song by BoBoGolem

Mikey be careful, a bunch of people at my work (doctors and VP's) had them and the entire blackberry system went down nationwide last week. And that included the cell phone function i have also heard that the data in them can be lost easily and stolen easily.

Like i said the entire system went down and they don't even know why. I would suggest against it. Plus one big unit is better then two smaller units

I don't know what cell phone provider you use, but at my office we use Verizon and a lot of people recently got the Treo, which is similar to a Blackberry, and they really like it.

I suggest you get one that has the features of being juicy and
succulent. You may want to think about upgrading to the cobbler.
I didn't even realize that I'd done that. Purely an accident.
I have one and have no idea what KO's talking about. I use mine daily, never had this happen.

First of all, there is no "Blackberry" system that I'm aware
of. You get your service through Sprint, Verizon, Nextel, etc. Its my
understanding that Verizon and Nextel have the most reliable systems,
especially in Manhattan. Some other services try to give you a cheaper
phone, ton of minutes, but have sucky service. Dont fall for it. The
aggravation of not being able to use it isn't worth a couple bucks.

I absolutely LOVE my Blackberry. It has literally saved my 1-2
hours a day at work. Plus it has a web browser, so you can get sports
scores, weather, send e-mail, google, etc.

One thing to
consider Mikey. Do you have an I-pod? Because some of the newer phones
have the capability to download/play MP3s (as well as take photos)
which the Blackberry's dont.

If its for business use, its a must. For personal use, I'd get a top of the line new phone for the same $.
