The festivities have already begun...Portland was openly shopping the 3 pick, and have dealt it to Utah for 6 and 27(and next year's first)...They need a PG, so that might mean Chris "I punched Julius Hodge in the Balls" Paul or Deron Williams from Illinois..Unfortunately, my Bullets dont have a pick till late in the 2d...which is kind of a bummer, but at least they aren't in the lotteryI'm hearing the best addition will be from last year's draft, the Spurs (of all people) picked this guy from Argentina, Luis Scola, who's supposed to be pretty awesomeI predict Andrew Bogut will be a bust of Titanic proportions, and of course he'll go to Milwaukee, home of the big white stiff(Joel Pryzbilla, Dan Gadzuric, etc)

Well actually its better that Les Boullez don't have the first round pick because they don't really have the cap room to sign any high priced pick.  Plus the new labor deal gives them the money to hopefully re-sign Larry Hughes.  What the boullez need is a good solid PF because Antwan definetly wore down during the season....i was hoping that they would get Kurt Thomas but it isn't to be.  And the second round will have a lot of depth and if not they can draft a foreigner to come and play in a year or two And Andrew Bogut is a far far cry from Pryzbilla and Gadzuric the guy plays D, can move, good footwork and can shoot the midrange jumper.<img src="http://img.ranchoweb.com/images/aggie2323/celticssig.jpg" border="0" /> "Sure I wave the American flag. Bogut finished last or near last in every single athletic category at the Chicago Pre Draft Camp... And I agree we do need to re sign Larry Hughes, but unfortunately, its going to cost us Terrapins Legend Juan Dixon, who was pretty good coming off the bench....Ford's mock draft has us taking Turiaf from Gonzaga with our pick

You know i was reading some other thing about the draft and they talked about Turiaf falling to the second round.....IMO he would be a great pick-up he won't complain about shots, he works his ass off, and he plays solid D.Oh yeah we need a back-up point guard as well.  And they only renounced Juan as a restricted FA but they can still sign him.  If some team offers him an assload of money it would be see ya later as Juan although good does not provide consistent scoring for a big money contract.And to compare Bogut against all positions is unfair since he is a big goofy corn fed giant....but he will be succesful.And snoogans.......why would they do that when they can draft two busts like the year they had 3 first round picks and got:  John Wallace and Dante Jones from MSU and some other schlub

I agree that Bogut will be horrendous in the NBA, I have no idea why
the hell everybody has a boner for this guy. In my opinion he sucks. I
hope the Lakers take either Felton or May, I know there's no real
chance they'll take May but all I really want is for them to get a
Carolina guy.  And Snoggs I actually heard the Knicks are
thinking of trading their pick to the Mavs so they can grab the rest of
Shawn Bradley's contract, he's comming out of retirerment to play in
NYC for the next 3 years.

shitload of talent. But he's too selfish, he'd rather look good himself
than do what's good for the team to an extreme degree. I can't tell you

Well, John Gilchrist has to be the poster boy for leaving when you're on top...if he had left after last year, he wouldve easily been a late lottery guy instead of now being undrafted in favour of 4 Frenchmen, a Belgian, 9 high schoolers and Von Wafer.  The worst decision he ever made was deciding to come back instead of entering the draftAnd he also did this to himself by alienating Gary Williams and Turtle Nation to the point where he was basically shown the door.....

Boy I'm glad I'm not the Raptors GM....everyone is ripping this guy to shreds(and with good reason), from Stephen A Smith and Jay Bilas to Chad Ford: Wow. Didn't see that one coming. What is Rob Babcock thinking? Don't Villanueva and Chris Bosh play the same position? Isn't Villanueva a soft forward who has some serious motivation problems in college? Head coach Sam Mitchell will love that. Villanueva has a ton of potential, but I smell disaster for the second straight year with the Raptors' lottery pick.

Well, good news(sort of) for Knicks fans, it doesn't look like that Lee guy is a stiff...  quote: OK. I liked the Channing Frye and Nate Robinson selections. David Lee, not so much. Don't get me wrong, I like Lee. He is very athletic (he measured as the top athlete in the power forward category at the Chicago combine), has a great motor and is very tough. He's a more skilled version of Bo Outlaw or Mark Madsen. But with guys with much bigger upside, like Chris Taft and Andray Blatche, still on the board, I'm not sure why Isiah decided to play it safe. Lee will be a rotation player in the league for 10 years. But given their deficiencies up front, Isiah should have swung for the fences.
