I hate the Insert key

<p><img height="159" src="http://www.form4use.com/insert.jpg" width="200" border="0" /></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Its right next to the Backspace button and sometimes I accidentally hit it and dont realise it.&nbsp; Then, I might be typing later on and try and correct a mispelling and start typing and will be actually deleting the words that came after it!&nbsp; Is there a way to disable it?</p>

I just looked in the Keyboard option on my Control Panel, and I don't see a way to disable one key.&nbsp; But I'm not well versed on comp tricks, so keep hope alive.

Buy a new keyboard.&nbsp; I had to SEARCH mine for that key.&nbsp; Its alllllllllllll the way in the top righthand corner along with delte, print screen, and pause/break. Never used any of them

That is a good point Wadd makes.&nbsp; If it's that bad, go to Comp USA or Best Buy, look at their keyboards and get the one with the insert key as far away from the backspace as you can.

I'm not a big fan of the Pause/Break key... it just sits there, mocking me with it's worthlessness.&nbsp; Fucking 1985 programmers key.

<p>The Pause/Break key never gets in my way, but I wish that the fucking Caps Lock was located near that key, because I hit that by mistake almost as often as the Insert key.</p><p>At work, I have occasionally started using the keyboards number pad instead of the phones keypad before I realise my mistake!</p>
