from a Yankee fan saying this while Jeter has been left off the team!
That's ridiculous. Fucking Kenny Rogers makes the team and not Clement?
AND FUCKING FRANCONA IS THE MANAGER! And don't tell me it was because
he had to make sure every team had a representative, Francona chose
Bartolo Colon over his own guy when the Angels already had a rep. 
And how sorry is the NL catching position that mike Piazza is
still a starter? And how does Brett Myers not make the
team?Edit:
It's also a joke when you have David Eckstein starting in the All-Star
game. That doesn't just stain the NL, it stains MLB when you have that

agree with every word, H-Box. I think Piazza and Eckstien are a
function of how weak the position is in the NL, and the NL being the
weaker league. As much as Piazza's fallen offensively, he's still one

Carlos Beltran should not be allowed anywhere near the game. And this
coming from a Met fan. Im glad Jeter didnt make it. I like that Brian
Roberts' stats is starting over Alfonso Soriano's name at 2nd. How did
Ceasar Izturis make it with his 275 avg over Reyes who leads the NL in
SBs and Triples (I think...dont call me on it if Im wrong). And Scott
Fucking Rolen? The guy barely played this season, and his stats suck.
Put Ramirez in as the starter and David Wright on the reserves...

I honestly don't understand how Mike Piazza still manages to win the starting catcher spot... The guy is the worst defensive catcher in baseball. I like the guy, but he's obviously not an All-Star catcher. He's not even a GOOD catcher anymore.

Well, that was the biggest triumph of completely
brain-dead anti-Yankee bias in the history of the world. I can't beliee
that I have seen people justify this as anything other than anti-Yankee
bias. Yeah, Podsednik can steal bases, many more than Jeter. And he is
also inferior to Jeter in every single other facet of
the game. BA .308 to .287. OBP .395 to .360. HR 10 to 0. RBI 35 to 17.
OPS .841 to .696. Hits 100 to 77. Walks 40 to 31. Runs scored 66 to 47.
Yeah, Podsednik's really put those stolen bases to good use. What an
anemic run total for a lead off hitter on the best team in baseball. 
So you can celebrate Yankee-haters, but don't anyone try to justify Podsednik as worthy. He isn't.

As for the HR contest, they are doing it in a
world ofrmat, with one representative from each country. The rep from
the US hasn't been determined, neither has the on from Japan.The
format has really fucked this thing up, as it already has resulted in
Pudge making it, who clearly is not a HR hitter anymore. But this is
more troubling now that Matsui, the obvious choice from Japan, has not
made the All-Star team. Now ICHIRO will have to take part in the HR
contest, unless they change it up a bit.

team this season is a front page story and lead on Sportscenter. Page 2
on ESPN.com has multiple gloating anti-Yankee articles every week. The
Daily Quicky on Page 2 started a campaign to keep Jeter out of the
game. Does this happen with ANY other team in MLB? When the Yankees
lose, I can't escape it even if I try.

Hafner's putting up great stats, but he's a DH, and
they can't carry two DHs, and there's no way Hafner's better or more
deserving than Ortiz. As for Dellucci, he has a lot of HRs but a lousy
batting average, especially for a lead off guy. I think Jeter's more
deserving than him.

with selig's decision to make the winner of the all star game to get home field advantage shouldn't they get rid of the stupid every team is represented rule? I mean the devil rays are no where near contention and whoever is representing them(prob danys baez) won't even get in the game. If it comes down to a save situation francona will prob use rivera. But with the yanks and sawx playing this weekend do you think he'll use rivera anyway just to tire him out?

Carpenter starting? I think they should have Roger start one last
time...more because hes been the best pitcher in the league this year,
not because hes one of the best, if not the best ever. Im goin with Vlad for MVP...

Whether I agree with Wadd or not, his posts are not mine, so don't automatically lump me in with his posts. So, apparently I "talked like the AL somehow dominated this game." Okay then, let's do a little research... The following are my posts during last night's All-Star Game: 
"This is hilarious... Through 6 innings, the BEST PLAYERS OF THE NL (at least according to the fans and managers), can't score a single fucking run." This was when the score was 7-0 after 6, at which point the AL WAS dominating the game. At that time, my post was a simple fact. I'm not clairvoyant, so for me to know that the NL would eventually score 5 runs was impossible. Yes, the box eventually said 7-11-1 to 5-11-0, but when I posted this, the score was 7 to 0 (I'm not sure of the hit counts at that juncture.) 
Whoops... I jinxed it... Oh well, Rogers is a pussy anyway. No more than 2 minutes after my post about it being 7-0, Kenny Rogers gives up a 2-run homer and a base hit, gets boo'ed off the field for being there in the first place. He's a pussy. 
C'monnnn... Ryan couldn't get one more out? 
That was when Francona pulled Ryan with only 1 more out to go to put in Mariano. Luckily Mariano barely had to work at all, as he only threw 4 pitches before the game was over... as noted in my next post... 
HAhahaha.... 4 pitches. That was hilarious. 
I then went on to make fun of Miguel Tejada's accent and the fact that he won a new car. So there, explain to me how I spoke of the NL unfairly, or stated that the AL dominated the entire game.
