How about getting Ron and Fez to do some Ham Radio, or just become truckers and do CB Radio. I think they are looking forward into the future. They've been doing professional radio for a while now, why would they go backwards and do Fake Radio? professional radio is great but if i miss them one day it would be nice to be able to download old shows, not to mention that the rest of the country might get a chance to hear them too. dont be selfish.<div> </div><div>jared</div>

So how do I post this delicately...  I've been listening to R&F on the DL through the AOL email site someone out there has generously been upkeeping but now it's gone, I guess cause of the XM announcement. Anyone know how to access it again, or how to get a copy of the last show? What is up with this Podcast nonsense.  Isn't Podcast just a fancy term for "Sound File you put on your iPod" anyway?  So anything you have a clip of becomes a Podcast.  So what people really want to know is if Ron and Fez will make whole shows available for download somewhere, and I'd guess XM will not allow that without some cash.

Podcast is just some term that a good marketing person came up with to sell these MP3's Audacity already has alot of O&A and Bob Edwards shows up already... they get them up within hours of the show endingit costs $2.95 per show           $12.95 per month or           $69.95 per year

My wife is on a morning radio show here in Toronto.  It is available for Podcast and, basically, it's the entire morning show...without commercials....without the songs...and only available 24 hours after the actual broadcast.  It also doesn't have the station ID's or Traffic & Weather,   All they DO podcast is the dj's talking and joking aboot pop-culture and current events.  And if a guest is in the studio...that's on the podcast too.  My wife does all the "Entertainment & Gossip" on that show plus, she goes into a studio and re-records a 4 minute high-light reel of all the days biggest news and gossip stories which is available as a seperate podcast.The Morning Show broadcast is 3 hours long.  The Podcast is 48 mins.(the sound quality is very very good) I think it's designed for people who dont call in to the show to interact (or for contests).  Is it a glorified mp3?  Yes.... but, there is SOME work/editing (and re-recording) involved.  <img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v355/tucker71/fezident.jpg" border="0" /> "Jam out with your clam out"

Let me first say, podcasting sucks.  2 dudes recording their thoughs with a crappy mic, thinking the whole world awaits their next missive.  Most are just bloated, self-important audio blogs.  Any moment now Blowhard will anounnce his new podcast.The thing that makes podcasts different from plan old mp3's is that you subscribe to them using a ulitity such as ipodder.  You enter the url of the pod one time and whenever a new episode is released it is automatically downloaded and placed in a playlist on your ipod and "you're good to go."

The thing that makes podcasts different from plan old mp3's is that you subscribe to them using a ulitity such as ipodder.  You enter the url of the pod one time and whenever a new episode is released it is automatically downloaded and placed in a playlist on your ipod and "you're good to go."Oh, fuck that.  I HATE auto-download options on shit.  That is not in anyway interesting to me.

good idea, let's get the boys to podcast the show.  I actually like to download and listen to the show from mp3s.  it's a bit more work but I like the added security.i also would like to ron and fez to make motivational podcasts that i can listen to whenever i get down.  they could also license pocasts of well known contributors (How not to sober up by Billy Staples, Hypnosis for Relaxation by Don the Hypnotist and German Verb Grammar by Skellington) ...
