them a chance to bring a big guy in off the bench and ease the workload
for Channing Frye. Whens the last time the Knicks had someone over 6'8&quot;

think if the Knicks want to make a move, they should trade Marbury for
a top power forward. If you can dump Houston and Hardaway off on
someone thats great, but that just gives you more cap room. To be
successful they need to realize that Marbury isnt going to take them
anywhere and trade him for a guy like Carlos Boozer or Andrei Kirilenko
or Kenyon Martin. Id love it if they could work out a deal for Chris
Bosh but Im not naive enough to think they can. I know they were talkin
about bringing Antoine Walker here, but thats definitely not the way to
go, and definitely not worth giving up Marbury.<br />

Well, it's official. The Knicks have a legit coach for the first time since Jeff Van Gundy... I know the team still stinks, but I can't help but be excited.

They can jettison his contract for purposes of getting under the penalty limit for exceeding the hard cap not to just cut him.&nbsp; They still have to pay him that money and his contract stays on the books until the deal expires.&nbsp; The same thing is going to happen to M. Finley and maybe olowokandi and a few others.&nbsp; The thing is it is a one time deal so after he's cut Isaih can go out and make another bad signing (antoine walker perhaps?) that they won't be able to use a get out of cap trouble free card
