seriously the man is gold.  Early on he had serious roles like Paradise Lost and nailed em, moved on to Swingers (one of the best movies EVAH) and now is dominating comedies (Old School gets better and better).  I dare an argument.

Too many people hate on "Made," seemingly because they wanted "Swingers 2: Fedora Boogaloo."  Me, I think it's friggin' hilarious, and Vince OWNS that movie.

I love Made, Vince Vaughn is a funny motherfucker in general, but in Made he was so funny.

I actually liked Made, but I've heard a ton of people hate it, so I included it. I'll cross that one off. I'll stand by the other movies listed.He is funny on the commentary of the DVD (which I own) I don't think he was as funny in that film as he was in others, I thought he was annoying in it, which was the point of his characters.<a href="http://www.xmradio.com/"><img src="http://scripts.cgispy.com/image.cgi?u=skw" border="0" /></a>

Vince was HYSTERICAL in "Starsky and Hutch", and although he was a somewhat weak link in Dodgeball, the movie overall was pretty funny.The Cell sucked, and so did Psycho.

Vaughn kicks ass.Every actor is gonna have a couple of shitty movies under their belt (Robert Dinero..I'm looking your direction) so, you have to judge the body work. I repect that he doesn't just play the Trent over and over and over.  PSYCHO was, at the very least, an attempt at doing something different.  CLAY PIGEONS too.  Same with RETURN TO PARADISE.  There was another movie (I forget the name) where he played a single dad.  He was great in that one.Just because a movie sank like a tank at the box office doesn't mean it's a bad movie.

The thread was called: "Vince Vaughn: can you go wrong?" and an argument was dared, so I provided a few examples of where I thought he went wrong, that doesn't mean he stinks in everything he does. I hated, HAAAAAAAAAAAAAATED Swingers. There's a couple of moments
that i thought were somewhat funny but overall i can't stand that
movie. I was hesitant to see Made but i did anyway and i loved it, Vince Vaughn was fucking hysterical. 
Also, anyone doubting his role in Domestic Disturbance needs to watch
the scene where he's playing catch with the son, completely not typical
Vince and hilarious because of it.

vince vaughn is good, but i cant see this. After seeing starsky and
hutch, it solidified ben stiller on the NEVER SEE HIS MOVIES list and
added Owen Wilson. And if it wasnt for old school and how funny he is
acting like a pussy in Blue Streak, Luke Wilson would be on that list
too

Yes.Different for VINCE.  A quiet subdued performance.  Not a fast talkin' funny guy.Also...the shot for shot remake was also unique.  It had never been done.  It was an experiment for Gus Van Zant.

although he was a somewhat weak link in DodgeballI thought he was great in Dodgeball.  I loved the way he could be serious and funny at the same time: particularly the line about the Thong Song and the scene with Lance Armstrong.  Wheras Stiller was over-the-top, Vaughn was the complete opposite -- and funnier.
