Stupid Stupid STUPID move on the part of the Pistons. Incredible news for the knickerbockers.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2110640

Stupid how, he's a guy who openly flirts with other jobs and causes distractions for his organization. Plus he never wanted to play Darko which rubbed Dumars the wrong way. Plus they have a capable high pressure situation coach in Flip Saunders in the wings, remember the pistons fired Rick Carlisle and won the championship the next year.

And if you honestly thing Larry Brown is the savior for the knicks with a roster that has 2 centers, 1 PF and 12 SG/PG/SF then i have some magic beans you may be interested in.

Please explain to me WHO in the league is better at taking a losing team like the Knicks who seem to have no hope whatsoever, and building them back into a contender. Not Phil Jackson, not Rudy, not Carlisle, and certainly not Herb Williams. Does Larry make an ass out of himself by continually becoming interested in other jobs, no question about it. The idea however that you think Saunders is going to do better with that team than Larry Brown is silly, and so is the thought that Brown can't aid the Knicks by leaps and bounds.

Larry Brown will not be able to get through to Stephon Marbury.

What was the last team Larry Brown took that wasn't in the Playoffs and took them to the Playoffs - Let's see maybe it was the Spurs the year David Robinson was a rookie.

Do you honestly think that Larry Brown can get through to a team that plays no Defense, traded their only consistent interior player and has the albatross of Alan Houston's contract limiting them. Oh yeah, not to mention Isaih runs the show on personnell so good luck with Jerome James starting becasue Larry Brown plays no rookies for any valuable minutes so Nate Robinson and Channing Frye get used to the bench.

A question: When you remove your sunglasses are you still such a blind homer you can't see the knicks are no where near being playoff ready when most teams that made the playoffs have improved their roster and Cleaveland has added players along with Milwaukee.

The Knicks will be lucky to finish 3rd in their own division

Where in my any posts I made did you see the words Knicks and playoffs mentioned? Perhaps before you jump to conclusions as to what my expectations are for Larry Brown you should learn to read more carefully, and then reread if necessary. You talk about a team that plays no defense. What exactly were the Pistons under Larry Brown centered around? Their fiery offense???? Larry Brown is easily one of the most talented and knowledgeable coaches in the NBA in a long time. And Larry brown didn't play Darko, because he HAD other options in Detroit. If you think he's simply going to sit players on the Knicks because they're rookies when the Knicks have no one, you are a bit blind yourself.

Perhaps before you jump to conclusions as to what my expectations are for Larry Brown you should learn to read more carefully

so they are improving by "leaps and bounds" to where then? 10th in the division, maybe 9th.

Leaps and boudns at this point considering where the team is doesn not even make them a playoff team. When I say leaps and bounds more than anythign else I mean the mentality of this team. Because at this point it isn't even a team it's Marbury hoisting up stupid shots and a crowd of guys standing around. Personally, I feel like Brown has the best shot at changing that.

Actually the reference you made is that Larry Brown can help the Knicks by leaps and bounds so what do you consider leaps and bounds because a 9 game bump which hardly could be considered leaps and bounds but 9 games better and the knicks make the playoffs last year so by using your own term i think nine games is a small step and no where close to a bound but i guess that doesn't mean playoffs then right?

And Larry Brown did not assemble the defenseive unit that Detroit had, he won with a system and team that was already in place by Rick Carlisle so don't come in here spewing this filth about Larry Brown and Defense because it doesn't work. His teams prior to Detroit (Indiana and Philly) scored a lot more in a game then Detroit did - he is good at adapting but that is about it.

And do you think that with a team full of franchise killers - Marbury and Crawford that they will listen to word one about defense or the way larry wants them to run the offense. Is he going to teach Quentin Richardson how to be 6'10 and play PF because that is the coaching he will need to do.

But since i am so unedumacated and can't read please break it down where you think the knicks will be next year give me a record and what spot they finish in the East. Back up your words and talk blind homer
