i don't know if they should go 10-6.  i'll have them go 3-3 in the East...0-2 vs Eagles, 1-1 vs Cowboys and 2-0 vs Redskinsthey play SD on the road...which could be a loss.  and anyone of these teams has a good shot at beating them: Denver, KC, Seatle, Minnesota, Rams, Saints and Arizona will be better alsoi'd say start at 8-8 and hope for the best from there.  almost time for my Chiefs thread<img src="http://hometown.aol.com/satelitecam/images/sig_wk.jpg" border="0" /> thanks for the sig SatCam...and thanks for bringing it back Furie

the saints? the saints couldnt beat Rutgers. and they will take one from the eagles, probably both from the now really shitty because of drew bledsoe cowboys

last i checked they finished better then the Giants last year.  I wouldn't be shocked to see them beat the Giants this year.  they are a team who looks really good one week and terrible the next.  i'd say going in they will be favored to win the game..its their home opener also.

Julius Jones alone will win one of the games against NYG.  I'd put the G men at 6-10 worst case, 9-7 best case.  The Saints can win that game too.  Y, bc Rutgers would beat the Giants too.

how about you morons post about your teams in their thread. 
last i checked they finished better then the Giants last year. its
a different team, a different year. and if you bothered to look, the
saints WERE better then the giants last year until the saints went on
their usual 0-4 in decemeber and just enough to miss the playoffs
again. they dont deserve to be a team, and they WILL NOT beat the
giants. and the chargers wont either cause we are bringing back the REAL LT for that game to rip the fugazi LT a new asshole

better receiver, Gibril wilson back, good left tackle, jacobs, improved manning, better backers.I am fairly optimistic but think 10-6 is a bit much.  I say 8-8 or 9-7, no playoffs or wild card at best.Also, old bird (Coughlin) and young bird (Manning) should have a better rapport and communication this year, which is important for running plays efficiently.  Marc<img src="http://home.comcast.net/~bob80/RFnetmarcpsych.jpg" border="0" />

Was at the game last night, saw a few things I liked. First off the secondarys looked good. They played good heads up ball. We got 3 interceptions and several knockdowns from them. Nice job on their part. Defense looked good as well. We stopped the Panthers on three straight plays from their 3 yard line.Eli still does not look like a starting quaterback, butmade some good throws. I mut admit though, he is closer to Archie then Payton manning. Tyree has some speed man lemme tell ya! Great 90 yard touchdown by him.I was also impressed with Hasselback. He looked rusty in his outing in the second half, but after he second attemtp he looked like a verteran quaterback and marched downfield for a scrore.Our first round pick was not too bad...ran some good route along the outside. He is promising. Onto the bad things: As good as the secondaried looked I saw several key missed tackles on their running back and way too many holes opened up. Offense still needs alot worked on, Shockey dropped a pass but made a great grab later in the 2nd quarter. secondary looked HORRIBLE. the one pick allen made went right to him,
the play after he couldnt grab a fumble. Webster's first "INT" was
actually a forced fumble and recovery, cause smith caught it and
webster stole it. the only reason smith caught it was cause webster
left too big of a cushion. And tuck's INT was cause the back cant catch.the
secondary was terrible, a bunch of like 3rd and 8 and the giants are
giving such a cushion that the carolina guys just stopped at the marker
and caught 1st downs all day. They were marching up and down on the
defense the whole first half until the Carolina mistakes, which they
were, not really great plays. Webster's first play was heads up, but
again because of his mistake that the ball was even there. Eli
looks like shit. SHIT. scared of the fuckin blitz and he turns and runs
backwards. not good. tim hasselback looked like the best QB on the
field last night.

was second round. If you mean David Tyree, the WR, he has been on the

Oh I agree there were a few plays where too many people were left wide open, but the line put goor pressure on Delhome.Yes Eli looked like Shit...which is why I still say he does not look like a starting quaterback. Fine...he was not the 1st round pick, he was in the 2nd round, #27 Jacobs I think his last name was....I THINK. Well it looks like they were fireing on all pistons yesterday.I was impressed that instead of falling apart in the 3nd half they came together.I can't believe Buress dropped such an easy pass.I hope they can play like that all season, we will pretty much be a playoff lock then, Hey I can dream right???

Well everyone looked good...EXCEPT the secondaries. Leaving holes that wide open is dangerous. When a team like Philly who has a GOOD passing attack comes to town they will eat us alive.I have a problem with how little Eli throws though. A qb with an average of under 200 yards a game does not really win super bowls. or playoff games for that matter

I have a problem with how
little Eli throws though. A qb with an average of under 200 yards a
game does not really win super bowls. or playoff games for that matter yea Dilfer put up huge stats in 2000. Rothlisburger threw 45 times a game last year too. If
anything, the less Eli throws, the better. That means our GROUND game
is working. What wins in the postseason, RUNNING AND DEFENSE. The
giants offense is gonna be fine. The front 7 looks great. They can stop
the run as well as anyone, and they actually seem to finally be getting
some breaks. This looks like the opposite of all the signs you see that
they are the same old giants. The past 2 games, just the way they didnt
fuck up certain things and some key penalties and turnovers actually
went their way, has me so excited for this season. With all the parody
in the recent NFL, and teams coming out of nowhere, i think the gmen
really have a shot to do something this year. And they are lining up
right to have a really good future core. Things are lookin up in giants
land.  Id also just like to add that the few saints
signs and endzone logo's they had didnt ugly up OUR stadium is much as
the Jets ugly green wallpaper. Id like to kick the jets out to shea and
let the saints play their home games in the meadowlands the rest of the
season

hopefully your guarantee will be as good as fassell's a few years agoMost likely the eagles win the east, someone will win the north doesnt matter whobecause they'' prob go 9-7 and they all suck so no wild card from this division, atlantawill win the south and panthers will prob get a wild card spot, and the seahawks win the west and I don't see a wild card coming from here either.So the giants, cowboys, panthers, and rams will fight for the 2 w.c. spots and myprediction is it will be the g men and the panthers.

I'm so fucking jazzed up right now.  18 minutes into the game
it looked like a bonafide blood bath until a pivotal defensive holding
call at 21-3 and gave the Giants the life they needed and Shockey the
stage to represent with the catch of the half that stopped the bleeding
and led to a TD.  What a roller coaster so far, at the half it's
21-20. 
 How typical is it that at 21-3, getting mauled and
facing another punting situation that the INFAMOUS "defensive holding"
call for the automatic first down gets thrown.  It seems every
huge swing of momentum is initiated by a stupid penalty.  Funny
how that always seems to be the case.  I'll be happy to be the
beneficiary this time.  Looking forward to the second half.

What about this blow to the head that only gets called on QBs?  Awful rule, especially when its a slide of a hand on the face mask while the lineman is being held and cross faced in the head.  Where are those calls?  SD lost a game against Dallas bc of three calls like this on third and long.  Just like today, we didn't even get to see the plays where the call was made.  I still never saw that holding?  I'm waiting for the punt team to be on the field and they drop a "holding on SD" out of nowhere like it's no big deal.  You know, very little impact on the game.  FUCK THAT RULE!

Hell of a game. I never expected this big of a blowout. But then again, I never expected the Giants to be preforming to the level of which they are right now.Jesus, 36-0. You think Joe Gibbs is a little pissed right now? We actually had pass coverage this time! But one game does not a season make.I do look foward to next week though. We SHOULD win. i know the bucs just lost to the niners but there is no way we can lose to a team that will be starting a fourth string qb but we just got to hope that the emotional win doesn't lead them to a big letdown.and as bad as our secondary is the niner wr's don't scare me especially with a 4th stringer throwing the ball.

well thanks to jon gruden's huge sack the redskins loss puts them at 5-4 and I can't believe i'm going say this but hopefully the eagles can win tonight making both them and the cowboys 5-4 as well, still giving the G-men a one game lead going into the philly game next week.side note:please can someone make a freaking tackle on special teams. Defense played awesome all game and we become the first team in nfl history to give up a punt, kick, and int returns for touchdowns in the same game. that's unacceptable for a season let alone one game.and somebody please show eli how to pass the ball. every week he is either over throwing or underthrowing his recievers and yesterday he kept putting the ball on the recievers back shoulder almost missing them. all in all just a horribly played game and we better not show up like this against the eagles

Yah, finally Dayne did something for the Giants!And Eli still can't win away from home.  So far he's only won in SF and that mock away game against the Saints.  I know Feely fucked this one up, but shouldn't the coach have let Manning continue to move the ball closer.  Even at the end of the 4th they just let the clock run out and never even attempted to move into better position.  Remember, the NFL now uses different ball for the kicking game.  They have less air pressure in them and it isn't the same NFL in terms of kicking.  Not to many people know this, but it's true.  Hence coaches need to adjust, and surely not go for a 50+ yarder in OT (big risk) with a guy who hasn't been on all day!

what i didn't understand was after tiki's big run in OT and tiki was pretty much running well all game they didn't try any more runs after the big one, actually i think they tried once but still andall jay feely does is get paid to kick field goals and i can understand missing the 50 yarder but the 39 yarder before the end of the game and the last one he should have made those.

well even though we shouldn't have been put feely in a situation to win a game it was nice to see him make it. defense played horrible at times but at least they held the eagles to those two field goals that tied the game at 23. i could very easily have seen the giants giving up a td on either drive to lose a game that we not only needed to win because the cowboys came back to win but there's no way we should have struggled against a team that lost it's starting QB, WR, and RB, as well as some other players but yet seattle a team we almost beat if not for feely missing 100 fg chances destroys them 42-0 and we almost lose to them.luckily we won but someone needs to teach Eli how to throw the fucking ball, every game he's constantly overthrowing and throwing behind recievers

Great win for the Giants, we needed it especially with the Dallas - Washington game today. It gives us a game and half lead over the cowboys but I kinda torn on who to route for today.A Washington victory makes both Dallas and Washington 8-6 and gives the Giants a 2 game lead in the division but keeps Washington alive in the playoff hunt , making next weeks game at Washington important for them and they'll show up hungry.A Dallas victory keeps them only game game behind the Giants in the division at 9-5 but drops the Redskins to 7-7 and all but eliminating them from playoff contention and therefore making the Skins game potentially easier for the g-men.I think we have to route for the hated cowboys here but if the giants just take care of their own business none of it will matter.we do need chicago and carolina to lose today, atlanta should beat chicago even though the bears are at home but asking for the saints to beat carolina is asking much but if those losses do happen that gives the giants a good chance of getting the second seed and a first round bye. even if carolina wins today the have to play the cowboys at home next week and at atlanta to end the season with the atlanta game potentially being for the division or a spot in the playoffs, so its not easy road for the panthers.

Well it was a fantastic win. All sides of the team played as they should have...a UNIT. They played like a team. I had my hesitation in the beginning of the season about this team, but I feel really good about us going into the playoffs. With the Washington win today against Dallas (ok...it was a slaughter!) this makes us primed for taking the NFC east. Even if Washington beats us next week by a slim margin we still destroyed them back in game 7. Right now, the way this team is playing we seem to be the team to beat in the NFC. Also Shaun Alexander would have had more yards but was kept out of the second half of three games this year.  And in other years Alexander has been just as complete a back out of the backfield as Tiki but this year with the way he was running they took him out of the passing game

Is it true that the Giants are so banged up that they are bringing Harry Carson in to play LB and Jim Burt to play the Nose.  I also heard Phil McConkey will be returning punts - phil mcconkey the most overrated punt returner ever ever ever.Giants + no LB = One and Done

LET'S GO GIANTS!!!!The Bucs did us a huge favor by losing yesterday, if we can just do our part we get to go to chicago, which should be easier to beat then seattle, and the week after we could face seattle but by then eli would have two playoff games under his belt and a road win at chicago, unless washington upsets the seahags and we get another home game. although part of me wanted to face seattle next week after they had a week off and might be rusty but either way...LET'S GO GIANTS!!!!

So far the defense looks ok only giving up 10 points for the large amount of time the panthers had the ball.  Our offense needs to be balls to the wall or we're gonna set up tee time with the Jets next week.

What do you even say after a loss like that? They never got anything
going offensively. You cant point to one play as being a turning point,
they just got handcuffed offensively. Give the Panthers credit, and
