Let me preface by saying that I am a die-hard Met fan, and think they easily have a better shot- The Yankees are a better team, but too flawed for the highly competitive AL- at least 95 wins are needed and I see the Yanks falling just short.

The Mets have a far better shot in an NL that is the weakest its been in years, and 85-88 wins may be enough- just at the upper fringe of the Metropolitans capabilities- Remember the Cubs are the Cubs, the Nats really the Expos, so anything can happen.

yankees have a better shot as long as giambi keeps on eating puppies
and hitting Home Runs..it will also help if tino can create some
runs....and no matter what tino is still great on defence...the
rotation is the main problem...eventually after some people return from
the DL the roation can look like this
Wang is out the rest of the year i believe with a torn Rotator Cuff so he's gone the first half of next year also

Not quite yet. He's rehabbing and if that doesn't work, then he'll get
surgery. And it's inflammation, not a tear. So It's not the worst case
scenario. Wade Miller has a actual tear (to the rotator cuff), and he's
been pitching with it for a year and a half.
Im pretty sure they repaired miller either very late in last year or
just after, and thats why he was out the first month or so, but im not
positive on that
