http://www.nbc4.com/automotive/4764260/detail.html?tabbox=blurb

What the hell is wrong with people in this country. Can we stop with the banning of smoking everywhere. I know that is about more than just smoking, but jesus why can't cops just give some one a ticket if they cause an accident or are driving erratically. Who cares if they are smoking, changing a tape/cd/Ipod, eating, putting on make-up(women do this all of the time), dealing with their kids. If you can drive and smoke which most people can do get the fuck off their case.

Back to banning smoking they are running ads about DC residents to pass the restaraunt smoking ban, because the staff are putting them in a hazardous situation. DON'T TAKE THE JOB IF YOU DON'T WANT TO WORK WHERE PEOPLE ARE SMOKING. If you own a restaraunt and want it to be non-smoking then go for it. Don't let the government tell you that you have to stop serving customers who smoke.

I wish restaraunts had a NO CHILDREN SECTION. I hate going out with kids running around, crying, screaming, hanging over a booth. Keep the little brats under control. They are much worse than some second hand smoke.

unreal, stupid twats can still put their make up on though.

if
they do this, ill sue. they do not have the right to tell me i cant do
that. ive never been distracted by smoking in my car, even when it was
a bowl.

How about, new jersey just makes the test ACTUALLY TEST
HOW YOU DRIVE, that way all these shitty drivers have to actually get
good at it

I would rather see cops pulling people over for running red lights which is infinitely more dangerous.

But the restaurant thing, they should ban it because the number of people who don't smoke far outweigh those that do, and if you can't go through a meal without a cig then i don't know what to say. And you would have zero chance of banning kids from restauratns but the way to beat that is eat at more upscale places....Olive Garden and Local Pizza Place are never good places to enjoy a meal becasue of all the distractions

But i do agree that smoking (in all forms) should be allowed in cars, otherwise how else will people learn to steer with their knees while lighting a bowl?

What's the big deal? The article itself said there
is zero chance of this happening. Just because someone says they want
to do something doesn't mean it will happen.
I've looked into it, the only way is to have a cigar bar, and that implies old.

customers that would come in, and NOT smoke would be aware of their own conscious decision to come into a smoking bar.

it doesn't matter every bar i go to now allows smoking in it anyway, especially during the winter.

cutting smoking out of restaurants and bars ONLY works in places that have warm winter seasons, and a pretty much outdoor lifestyle.

by the way when did anybody in NY get to vote (beside the legislators) on the smoking ban.
