Both the left and the right has their share of hacks. For example Rush Limbaugh did play by play for the KC Royals, Bill OReilly did inside edition. Al Franken and Jeanine Garafalo are stand up comics.  Michael Savage has PhD's in nutrition and Botany and an overall nut. In my opinion Mark Levin is the most legit. Yes he is a right winger but he is a constitutional lawyer, and he knows his stuff

O and A... PARTY ROCK!!!!!

Ewwwwww. Sorry, I have my conservative side, but that guy is
too negative and condemning of everyone on the left. And his voice is
awful. He can be occasionally funny in a nasty way. Sort of like a
political Jim Norton, who I also dont like much. But not funny enough
to keep me listening. 
I think Savage is very funny, in a psychotic way. And I rarely agree
with him on anything. But he keeps me listening by being such a
nut. Jeanine
Garafolo and Al Franken may be comics, if you've already bought their
whole political package. But if you haven't, they're just not funny.

Only problem with Levin is the problem with all hosts on that stating.  FEAR MONGERING and POLITICAL HATERS.  They just label all Moderates Republicans and totaly moderates as Liberals, and then demoize the whole group.  Then they come on with their top stories on how Libs are stealing America.  They just keep everyone in a constant state of panic and fear.  Best thing I ever did was turning off WABC in New York.

I'm an ultra-conservative and Levin gets on my nerves sometimesHe's so whiney.Plus when he cant make a point or gets called out he's rude and just hags up.I like Bob Grant from the old days

Here one of my rules of thumb that applies to
both sides: If someone who obviously is a conservative or liberal tries
to explain that they are really a moderate, they are the most dangerous
kind of fraud. And that is simply because they themselves realize their
own views are so extreme as to never have a chance if shown at face
value, so they have to hide it with unrelated crap. Sean Hannity is the
best example of this.

No one on the radio has any credibility.  sometimes I'll watch Meet the Press or Hardball, maybe even the McLoughlin Group, but that's it.

For most credibility and a combination of entertainment and information, I have to go with Ron Kuby and Curtis Sliwa.  Since I don't have XM, these guys are the best thing on morning radio and just about the best thing on radio.  Curtis can be pretty funny since he often just blurts out what he thinks, and Ron can be both logical and passionate when denoting his views or taking a position on an issue.  Moreover, the two of them have a good rapport on the mike and either the most obvious or most obtuse segues into commercials.  Warner Wolf does pretty well working with them.With Ron's long history as a defense lawyer and Curtis' Guardian Angels, they are diehard New York.

I like them too. And Ron's break down of legal issues is first rate.
Actually, I like them so much my biggest complaint is all the
commercials, traffic, weather, Warner. Not enough actual show with
them.

Honestly, the only political talk radio show that I've heard that had any objectivity was the Fastest Hour in Radio. Everything else is shitty hyperbole, dogmatic hate-speech, and populist rhetoric carefully manipulated to cultivated a loyal base from which gobs of money can be felched out of. Seriously, we should give it up to the boys for giving us the best political talk radio in the business.

inarticulate and closeminded. Ron Kuby is a whore and will defend
anyone.

Mark Levin is another hack nobody hewing to the company line.I get such a kick out of people who imagine themselves "conservative" who hardly batted an eyelash at that bigass giveaway in the Farm bill, didn't object to the protectionism in the steel tarrifs, go right along with this imperialist, Wilsonian foreign policy of the current administration, have endorsed the massive growth in the federal bureaucracy in the last several years, have endorsed the feds a-pokin' their noses into the local school systems and telling the locals what to do and somehow have done away with that "core value" of "fiscal responsibility" that had them hopping up and down for a balanced-budget ammendment to the Constitution. And here we have an administration that came into office making a big stir about how they were going to "usher in a new era of personal responsibility," but when two massive breakdowns in intelligence, top administration decision-making and law enforcement take place (9/11 and Iraq's non-existent WMD), those who took faulty decisions not only keep their jobs, but get Presidential Medals of Freedom and get promoted.  Oh, and the only good thing about Hannity is the first five minutes of his radio show where he comes in, caterwauling about the latest liberal outrage with a chicken-little-esque "The sky is falling" routine.There he stands, brave Shawn, the boy with his finger in the dike preventing the destruction of the Western World, who has found yet another way in which Ted Kennedy and Hillary are about to take over the world in some feindish scheme or another...    " and they ask me why I drink" <img src="http://64.177.177.182/katylina/highflysig.jpg" border="0" /> Big ups to sex bomb baby Katylina (LHOOQ) for the sig!

springer, hannity, franklin, limbaugh and rhodes are just entertainers pushing a specific agenda ... malzberg, levin, savage and o'reilly are just hateful men (and that includes monica crowley and and make for horrible radio ...hannity was much more agreeable and listenable when he was a local show ... once he went national, he became a hack, myoptic puppet ...the only am talking heads that i can stomach, and can be fairly objective and entertaining was the old richard bey WABC show (i know his tv show was for shit, but he was great on the radio) and lionel's current WOR gig ...
