There was actually a "heavily researched" poll about this, and they
came up with Moorestown, NJ

Take that for what it's worth, I think it's too close to Camden, myself, but there's a whole list at the link.

I like where I am in Maryland. There's a lot to say about the upper east coast. We don't get earthquakes, hurricanes don't hit us dead on (we get the aftermath), only a few tornados come through, no mudslides, an occasional noreaster but overall it's a pretty natural disaster-free area. We get all four seasons which is cool. I've visted Los Angeles and Florida and places like that but would never want to live there.
This is a bad week, though, to talk about how great it is here with it 100 degrees outside and the fuckin' humidity...

Winchester, VA isn't that bad, but it's growing like crazy! The county grew 12.5% from 2000 to 2004. New neighborhoods are popping up everywhere. It's all big houses, too. People from Northern Va and DC are moving here because 300-500K will practically buy you a mansion.

My father bought his house (four bedroom/3 bath) in 1968 for 26K and it's now worth about 250k!!!

The county has doubled in population in 10 years, and there are gated communities of rich SOB's all over the place, intruding on the battlefields, which makes me surly

But also down there, the road system is basically the EXACT same road system used in 1863-1864, so traffic is a NIGHTMARE...which is basically the problem with living in NOVA. these bastards are turning every where else into NOVA Junior..

As for me, the perfect place for me personally to live would probably somewhere up the Valley, maybe around Staunton or Lexington....Lynchburg ain't too bad...
....We haven't seen the sun since '71Thanks Monsterone!!
