A suggestion to the Board Vets [Archive]

I know how funny all of you are, myself included. But in the very near future this board will have an influx of new people from all over the country, many who have never heard of R&F, and some who have only heard of them through O&A.  Now when they come here and ask things about the show that to many who post here on a daily basis find annoying or mundane, they may really just want a simple answer. Not a picture of a lock, or a cave, or a random cartoon picture, or a smart ass remark. Sure all of the other board vets. chuckle and then maybe rub one out for you in the staff room. But in general, I think maybe as a board we should have a concerted effort to not just shit on simple questions or issues from someone just because they are new. Then in a few months, once R&F are off the ground, we can go back to posting the gay pride parade pictures.  not a monologue, just a suggestion

OK, all tongue kissing guys aside, new people will be treated with the same courtesy they pay us.Newbies that ask honestly uninformed questions will be treated with some respect and given the answers.  However, Newbies that come in here like a ball of fire, ready to attack will be stomped into the fucking ground, disembowled and pissed upon.

I would not be surprised at all if many of these new people, the ones who came in and stirred up shit yesterday, were really just some of the old ones (like Zappa or K.) with their own personal agendas. I also wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't one or two people from the Don and Mike camp who haven't let that shit go, and thought it would be cute to try and "divide and conqueror" between "The Band." The poster "crustyjizzrag" or whatever reminded me that a few weeks ago I thought I heard a segment on D&M where Don jokingly called his spank rag "Crusty." Maybe, maybe not. It will all blow over soon enough.
