I have a computer bug. Well it's more of a monitor bug I guess.

There is a BUG in my monitor. I mean this. Some sort of little bug is IN my monitor. I have aDell Flat panel LCD monitor. I was perusing the internet when I saw this little speck. I tried to wipe it away with my finger but no luck. At first I thought nothing of it. THEN it started moving. I sniffed the glass of water I was drinking to make sure I was indeed drinking only water. Then I leaned up close to the monitor and sure enough, there is a bug somehow IN my monitor. I see this little guy walking all over the place. At first it was aggravating as hell but now I'm kinda getting used to him. He's been there for four days now and I have NO IDEA how he is still alive. Has ANYONE ever heard of anything like this? Is this even possible or have I just finally lost it?

Not that I'm a computer wiz, but that's new to me. Sounds like something you'll have to take the front off for. No idea how complicated that is to get at. It probably snuck in a vent.

well I guess I'm gonna have to do something if/when this little guy dies. For now I think I'll just wait and HOPE that he finds his way back out.

You might want to bring it to a monitor repair shop to have it looked at. By no means should you take it apart to try and it take it out unless you're familiar with the inner workings of monitors. There is a LOT of dangerous parts inside so you would need to be careful if you plan to open it up and get the bug out yourself.

Have you tried smacking him with your cursor? Perhaps if you change your wallpaper to feature a fly swatter he may get scared and run away.

Good luck, that is one weird tech problem.

OK Lil' Fezzy died.....I'm sad, but at least he had the decency to die somewhere that doesn't impede my monitor viewing too much.
