<em>Ok, if it pleases the court, let the record show that even though
this is yet another long winded, rambling pile of letters by me in
another D&M thread, that this is the first time I’ve posted in this
one (page two) – i've shown some restraint - let it also show that it’s
more of what I think needs to be said, and less reflective any opinions
I may have about <strong>any </strong>other radio show…</em>

Long ago, when Ron and Fez first got to WJFK full time, Don & Mike
apologized for their digs on R&F during their “war” with O&A.
To be fair things went both ways – something Ron even admitted last
spring on the air. </p><p>
However, as Ronnie also said on their last show on WJFK, it is how you
end things, and the two shows ended on very, very positive terms. Aside
from their good wishes to Don on the last show during his time of
grief, Fez even managed to slip in a subtle reference to a sound drop
D&M play all the time earlier in the show. </p><p>
That’s why I don’t understand for a need to have a “Don and Mike Show
Suck” thread anywhere on the site, especially the main R&F Show
section. It’s something I’d expect on an O&A site or a Stern site
or even a D&M site, because part of their fun is going after other
shows. It’s not at all really reflective of The Ron and Fez Show – a
show that doesn’t need an “army” to go to war with other shows, because
that’s not how they roll (they have a posse!). With the exception of
O’Reilly, they’ve never expressed anything against other shows in their
industry – at that was pretty much because he was thrust on 106.7 as a
c-block. Unless R&F came on the last show, or on the next show, and
talked about how much WJFK and D&M sucked, I can’t see the
justification for putting this up, or keeping it up, except to try and
divert the D&M Haters away from the grief threads.
</p><p>If people want to vent against D&M and the show, and they
don’t want to go to and be big men over at a D&M site or an O&A
site, then why not just have a thread where fans or defenders can talk
back? Why not an Official D&M thread in the entertainment section?
There seems to be enough discussion to merit that as anyone else.
Either that or (for equal time) start an “Opie and Anthony Show Suck”
thread, or a “Howard Stern Show Sucks” thread,” and on and on until
everyone else is covered. </p><p>
Of course – much of the hate is just lazy hate, from people who heard
the show three years ago (“I gave them a chance, blah blah blah”),
nevermind that some of these same listeners will come on here and plead
for people not to judge O&A on their WNEW shows. </p><p>
The best, most relevant D&M haters are those who were really into
the show at one time, or maybe even still. For crying out loud, even
the most casual of listener knows Leah Remeny hasn’t been on their show
in over 2 years – about the last time she looked as good as she does in
any of those pictures. I’m reminded of the old ad campaign for the 70’s
porn film “Misty Beethoven” that implied that it was a porno for women
(something like “Ask A Friend What’s So Great About Misty Beethoven –
She’ll Tell You!”) – ask a Don and Mike fan what’s to hate about The
Don and Mike Show – They’ll Tell You.” 5000.<br />
