Mt George Washington Bridge Loop of Insanity

<p>I must have set a World Record for going over the George Washington Bridge in a single day.&nbsp; </p><p>7 times!!</p><p><br />The Fucking signs SUCK and are Useless!&nbsp; I was trying to get to the Palisades Pkwy and as I approached the George, I saw a sign that said the Lower Deck was Best for Cars and like an Idiot, I believed it!&nbsp; So, the next minute I am somehow in New Jersey trying to figure my way back and somehow, I am back over the George and my head is spinning.&nbsp; I ask a Cop and he tells me I have to cross it again and turn around and I did it and promptly got lost.&nbsp; It is absolutely Insane and I am a good driver! </p><p>On the back, in an effort to avoid it, I see a sign saying the Throgs Neck Bridge / Whitestone Bridge I head for the exit and suddenly I an back on the Fucking GEORGE!&nbsp; 3 times later and one useless cop and a trip to Jersey later, I finally find my way over.&nbsp; INSANE!!!&nbsp; I saw SO PISSED I felt like Pantera!!</p><p><img height="15" src="http://www.ronfez.net/messageboard/images/topicicons/thumbsdown.gif" width="15" border="0" /><img height="15" src="http://www.ronfez.net/messageboard/images/topicicons/thumbsdown.gif" width="15" border="0" /></p><p><img height="342" src="http://www.beaglebass.com/roads/2001_east_usa/George%20Washington%20Bridge%20near%20state%20line .JPG" width="383" border="0" /></p><img src="http://www.chaoticconcepts.com/randomizer/random.php?uid=8" border="0" /> <strong>My Thanks to Just Jon, Reefdwella, ADF, Yerdaddy,Monsterone and Katylina for the sig-pic help and creation!</strong><font color="#ff0000"><font size="1">Which Witch Wished Which Wicked Wish?</font></font>

<p>So wait, you were in the city trying to get on the PIP, or Jersey trying to get on the PIP?</p><p>The exit from the lower level (out bound) onto the palisades is very hard to see.</p>

It actually upset me so much, I think I will never travel over that route again at any cost.&nbsp; It is insane how poorly labeled and directed the roads in that area are.&nbsp; You go to New Jersey and anywhere else and the signs are quite clear.&nbsp; They was this point where I was faced with 6 signs at once at the last second and no clear indication where any choice would lead.&nbsp; At this same point, I was sanwiched between 2 weaving semis inches from my fenders and trapped behind another while road construction vapor lamps are being shined in my face.&nbsp; It was a cluster fuck! <br />Its sick to say, but I was wishing some terrible things on that bridge and the morons who are responsible for the signs.

There is so little room for error while driving around here. No wonder I'm having trouble driving. Everyone drives so fast and a sign is right on top of the exit, giving you no time to make a decision.

The problems I had with it wouldnt prevent me from crossing a bridge like it; rather, I am very dissapointed that&nbsp;the city&nbsp;allows it&nbsp;to exist so badly labeled.&nbsp; I would think that they would want it to be something very easy to get around, but instead, because the signs are so bad, I will likely avoid travel in that area now and I bet there are others like me as well.&nbsp; Even as you approach the bridge from either side, there are dozens of signs all grouped close together in rapid fire succession with no clear indication where any alternate route will lead until it is way too late and your committed and paid a toll. It is actually dangerous and stupid for business and it ruined my trip.&nbsp; It is all I remember regarding my trip now.
