Does anyone have the WNEW show from 9/11/01 where Ron & Fez were taking the phone calls from the callers about 9/11?   That was a terrific piece of radio & I'd love to have a copy of it.

P.S....I think they were on from 10Am to 2Pm at that time...Everything turned to just "news" around the clock for about a week.  (best recolection)......it was about a week untill they were back on the air...again...not to sure.

I have the 9/11 O&A and R&F shows.  I will find them.And yes, I know for a fact that R&F were at night.  Craig and Blain broke the news that morning, and I remember Craig's voice snapping me out of bed that day when he said, "Oh man, now you gotta think it's terrorism," and then Blain yelping when the first tower went down.Don and Mike came on, and Buzz was giving updates (some of them wildly false from the crazy news that was flying around) and then they closed their show with Ray Charles' America the Beautiful.O&A did their show on Long Island with Hannity, and then R&F were in the city that night.

Like I said...not sure.?  It's been a while....I know at one time they were on 10-2 and also 7-11.  The double shift period at WNEW.  Hopefully this PERTAINS to this thread...

liked the original sports guys with sid and that guy that disappeared i forgot his nameit was Scott and Sid to start and to me that was the only combo that was good.  Scott went on to be a sideline reporter for CBS...not sure what he is doing now.  I would like to hear stern/O&A/Ron Fez from that day also if made available.

I thought everyone that day really proved themselves as broadcasters. R&F, Stern, O&A, D&M. Very comforting. I don't know if The Sports Junkies did a show that night or not, and not sure how it went. A year later, when the sniper in DC stuck during their show, killing the off duty FBI agent at the Home Depot about 10 miles or so from the WJFK studios and DC was basically in lock-down, The Junkies did a great job.Also (back to 9/11) on the one year anniversary (9/11/02), D&M broadcast from the Pentagon for the entire show, and it was really, really well done. Lots of survivors, relatives and rescue workers, as well as those that helped rebuild the Pentagon in record time. By then D&M were off WNEW so I know most here didn't get a chance to hear it, but it is also worth tracking down.

I have both the O&A show and the Ron & fez show both pretty much in it's entirety.The only thing is though; I have them both on casette tape(don't laugh). Its all in good quality and anyone who wants a copy of any of it, let me know and I'll make one for you.
