Anyone know a good hotel for an overnight stay (likely a Fri-Sat or
Sat-Sun deal). I plan down the road to set something up with this
girl I've been talking to for a while and she wants to spend a night
with me in a hotel room (both our places are too busy/crowded to get
some alone time) I just thought if anyone would know a good place
in the area
You really can't go wrong with any of the places there.

The W Hotel in Union Square is a great hotel. The rooms are beautiful. Also, the Hudson hotel in midtown is pretty nice. The rooms are really nice but kinda small. Both places are pretty expensive though- like $200-$250 a night.

Pete this might take some extensive research and no I am not kidding. To try and get a weekend overnight in the city you are looking at, least expensive, an average of about 125.00-150.00 a night.

The nicer hotels like the W run, as stated above, like 200 plus a night. Hotwire.com, Expedia.com and whatever web site that Capt. Kirk hocks for. (name escapes me right now)

But if you can afford it I would stay most definately Midtown to just downtown (no further then 20th street) if you want to stay in the middle of the action and still have a nice hotel.

Good luck buddy. If I find anything for a good price I will let you know.

p.s. if I am not mistaken prices should drop a little once labor day has passed.
"Did you catch all of that in your mouth??" "You betcha!!!!!" "That's disgusting" "Shut up and keep sucking!"

The Excelsior Hotel on 81st between Columbus and Central Park West. Reasonably priced and on the UWS, the best neighboorhood in the city. I liove right down the block and my brother and his girlfriend stayed there when they visited from LA. They loved it. Tons of great restaurants around.

The Hotel Pensylvania right across from MSG is alright. It's relatively
inexpensive, in Midtown, and if all you're looking for is some 'alone
time' I would recommend it.
