Hi Perry!

Just wondering.

Why don't you have a Podcast?

Someone posted your MikeyD show on a newsgroup a month or so ago and it was the first time I got to hear it.

It was worth listening to more, but why do I have to listen to fake radio at a specific time like it's real radio?

Won't
you get more exposure and listeners a chance to hear your shows at any
time if you podcast? Or at least have a downloadable archive of entire
shows?

Just wondering, and good luck with everything

There are downloads available on the website, though it's far from a
complete archive at the moment. Right now there are two complete
Mikey D shows, one complete show of mine, and some shorter clips of The
Cosmic Circus. We might put more stuff up there, not sure
yet. But at least it's something. Maybe check back in a
week or so.

UFO Radio Downloads Page

We
are not planning to do any actual Podcasting right now, but you can put
what we have on the dowloads page in your iPod.

I don't know what all this pod talk is about ... But one thing is for sure, I invented podcasting.

I just forgot some of the specifics. So if there is anyone out there in fake radioland that could help ufo radio begin podcasting or explain it to us - to refresh our memory (we lose track of all these inventtions we invent) then PM Cherrynoid or myself with any information about my latest and maybe greatest invention - POD.

I've never made a Podcast, but here's where you would start:

http://www.apple.com/podcasting/

It was after I visited your download page in hopes of seeing an archive of shows that I wondered why you didn't Podcast yet.

Basically you put your show in the Podcast directory, then anyone can subscribe to your show.

It
will be automatically downloaded to the listeners computer as they're
made so they won't miss a single one! (and downloaded to their iPod if
they have one, but you don't need one to hear the shows)

Who here knows about RSS files and creating a podcast?

I think you just have to record the show, encode it for file type/size desired, host it on a site, then use the RSS code protocol on the show, which let's people's iPods know when there is a new show to download.

Ipodder dot somthing is one of the big sites. Adam Curry's 'Source Code' is about the most popular Podcast, Google-ing those should get ya somewhere.

After that I got nothing...
