So, long long ago in a galaxy far far away, i made a crapload of bumpers for Ron & Fez at WonderRay's request. They soon became the lost bumpers.......because Wonderbread never gave them to R&F. I just dug them up, so i post 4 to myspace music. Listen and tell me if they are TEH SUCK or if you think they are decent enough to give to R&F.

http://www.myspace.com/evildjmagdelena

thanks.

Skel

I like "turntable" and "i sample" the best, cause they have text referring to R&F that is easy to hear, tho the drops in "i sample" could be a lil louder. They are all FUN to listen to tho!!! Nice job!!!

There's a lot of open space in them where nothing is said. Did you do that purposly so they could add to it or speak over it?

Even if you did do that, the last one where you sampled Ron and Fez's voices had a lot of open space. You need to fill that up with samples. Music is good, but all the really good talk radio bumpers I've heard have had wall to wall talk or something else going on.

But on the whole I thought they sounded pretty good. I don't know why Wonderboy didn't at least work with them.

WB didn't work with them because he was busy stringing together looney toons samples.....

I'll keep working on them. WB also never got me clean shows to sample from, i kinda had to hijack a show.....in a very special way...

Thanks for the feedback.

I'm glad you took what we said as constructive criticism and a honest acessment. I just wanted to restate that they music was very well done and overall they were very nice. If Wonderboy had given you more clean shows to work with, like they have to work on all day, I'm sure you could have filled up the gaps and I understand your problem.

Keep them around, maybe someone on the new staff will appreciate them more.

Not to be a negative nancy, I don't think they worked. Technically they were quite good. Audio was clear, mixes were good, but the content didn't really fit the show. My opinion, anyway...industrial and techno may be a good fit for O&A, but not Ron & Fez...perhaps a more hip-hop/funky direction ala "Oddities"...they were just too dark in tone for me...

Thanks for the feedback, i totally see what you are saying. i'm going to try to pull and edit a few more samples and put it to burlesque or porn music....yes...... *shrug* This is fun.

You should have just done what everyone else ended up doing - sidestepping Ray Bottoms and go right to Dubs. These were good.

Whoa! A double post thirteen minutes apart! Where have those twelve minutes gone? This is like the gap in Nixon's Watergate Tapes, only insignifcant and meaningless!
