MTV Hits isthe 24 hour music channel now. MTV2 has all the wacky shows that MTV won't show.Oh, I see now.  So 1st MTV was our music station, but then they filled it with a poor programming and moved the music to MTV2.  Now, they made MTV2 the same as MTV, and the new bone they're throwing us is NTV Hits?  And I'm sure I'll never even get it on regular cable.You suck balls MTV.

don't know if you're refering just to MTV's Awards shows, or MTV in
general, but MTV used to COMPLETELY ignore black acts.  When they
started showing Michael Jackson videos people actually thought it was
revolutionary. MTV just reflects what's current. In the 1980's they
coddled the hair bands. In the early to late 1990's they fell in love
with grunge and alternative. Now they love Hip Hop. The Hip Hop
thing will probably live longer than any of the others, though. Hip Hop
is very advertiser friendly. It has morphed from "the word of the
streets" into "who can aquire the best merchandise". Madison Ave.
didn't make much money selling used clothing when grunge was hot, or
selling hair spray and spandex in the 1980's.

In all honesty, I wouldn't mind it so much if all types of music were given equal time, but they aren't. It's all rap and hip-hop, hip-hop and rap. Can someone explain My Chemical Romance to me? I've only seen My Chemical Romance in commercials, but they seem to be a cheap knock off of The White Stripes. Notice the red and black clothing. MTV is what caused me to start listening to 70s and 80s metal. I have a feeling that the music industry is going to collapse when a revolutionary new band comes out. Dude - it was so bad. he was in a prop bedroom on stage - lip-syncing one of his songs ( Trapped in the closet) He was playing all the characters in the song and acting out every line.. the song sucked. just lame ... puff daddy had no visible charm, or ability to host -- he was os bad, i missed the wayan brothers ... the fake conducting was silly ...it was just disgusting to see paris hilton and bow wow faulnt their opulence as witty banter ...i realize that i'm older than their demograhic, but is kelly clarkson the biggest name going to close out the show ...? why was she constantly running ...? why was it important for to sing under the sprinklers ...?the show had no flow, very few stars, nothing memorable or really impressive ...

Can someone explain My Chemical Romance to me?  And am I alone in wanting to crush that lead singers skull?  AND WHAT THE FUCK WAS WITH THE INTERPRETIVE DANCER????They have a video for that song...and its at a funeral and they kind of have people dancing along to the song all choreographed... and during the bridge of the song, the corpse gets up and dances... I think the dancer was the corpse from the video... I want to not like them but the video is entertaining and the song is pretty catchyI didn't get to watch the R Kelly thing last night, but right when I came into work everyone had downloaded it and I got to see how incredibly stupid it was... at one point he actually did a finger phone and held it up to his ears... he looked like a crazy person talking to himself
