I took the wife and kid to see "TheBrothers Grimm" on Friday night. I have been psyched to see this film for a while because of my abnormal interest in folklore and superstition. I am also a big fan of Terry Gilliam, and I can't believe it's been like 7 years since his last film!!! I enjoyed it a lot, it's a little scaled down from his oeuvre. I wonder if the reason for that was financial or to maintain focus on the story. The exteriors, filmed in Prague are amazing & it's fun the way all the "tales" are thrown into a blender to make the story, but I think it's the kinda film that the more you know going in, the more enjoyable it is to watch. Thanks be to Ah Pook, the Mayan God of Death, whose face is a mass of entrails, the film IS GRIM(M)!

Is that in the movie? IF it is, I'm there.

Nahhh, that was a tribute to Fez's evocation of obscure gods in his "open letters" by way of William S. But if you dig that, read "Ah Pook Is Here."

"The book above all others which should be forbidden is a catalogue of forbidden books"-Lichtenberg
