i like to play soccer on sundays. i also swim and play basketball, but not so frequently anymore.

during the summers i like to play volleyball and tennis.

when i was in my freshman year of high school, i joined my school's jv basketball team. our team sucked and we lost every single game.

i was always encouraged to play sports by my mother and father.

uh oh. I don't think I 'play'
any sports, per se, except
intramural soccer a few nights
a week.

But right now rock climb (used
to manage a few gyms in the
city and stuff) and ride
horses.

When I was in college I was on
the varsity equestrian,
fencing and ski teams (how's
that for snobby sports???).

That's about it though. I love
volleyball but there's no
co-ed volleyball league here.

OH my god! And get this with
the co-ed intramural soccer
thing - if you're a coed team,
you must always have at least
3 chicks on the floor at a
time - goalie doens't count -
so out of 6 people on the
fiels you always have at least
3 or 4!! And guys aren't
allowed to 'challenge' a chick
with the ball (like go near
her, take the ball from her,
stand n her way, anything).
How abso-fucking-lutely
ridiculous is that? That
doesn't MAKE me want to play
in the co-ed league; it makes
me feel like I totally pussy!

okay sorry about the rant.

my parents are funny about me
and all my hobbies. my mom
just wishes that I didn't do
such dangerous sports (like,
couldn't I have been a
synchronized swimmer or
something?) and my dad just
wishes I didn't have so many
hobbies so that I could go
fishing with him more often.

but they always came to my
games/shows/meets/whatever.
although I recall one time I
was at a ski race, and I was
wearing my GS suit - basically
a big spandex body suit - and
my dad came up, tapped my ass
with his ski pole and said
"Oh, it's you in there I
thought you were wearing
padding". It's a wonder I
don't have an eating disorder
(unless you count eating
constantly a disorder :))

I boxed quite a bit when I was iin the service. Now, I still scuba dive, play alot of softball and try to get to the "Y" at least twice a week. Love to take up skydiving again but that gets expensive,

i forgot to mention bowling. bowling fuckin rocks. i love going to the chelsea piers lanes.

my friend just told me there's a miniature golf thingy at chelsea piers but i've never seen it. miniature golf rules.

Don't let this upset you, we had the same thing at my school. The girls on our team said if thats the way they want it thats the way they'll get it.

Our girls were AWESOME, they dominated the field, so anytime a guy charged, they would play it up, draw a penalty, and get a free kick. I can't tell you how many games we won, just because of that.

of coarse we never won the F'n championship, every year, F'n quarter-final or semi-final, never the championship T-Shirt that I got to see all these fuckers wear. And what pisses me off was that Freshman year we lost to seniors and Senior year we lost to freshman... FUCK THAT INTRAMERALS SUCK
