<p>Ron and Fez are gone. Forever. That realization has just started to really sink in for me. And XM Radio? No offense to Ron and Fez, or even Opie and Anthony, but this whole situation just seems sad to me. Sure, they were shat on and obscure on WJFK, but the idea of paying any amount of money a month just for one single radio talk show--even I'm not pathetic enough to get that involved. I'll always have my memories, but this ship has officially sailed. I just wish all this hadn't happened. It was great while it lasted. But I can't bring myself to pay for the radio equivalent of Super TV, even for them. I give them nine months, max.</p><p>No responses necessary. I won't be reading them, anyway. Just felt like venting. </p><p>--put your goddamn cell phones away, get off the damn internet, shut up, and read a book.</p>

and paying for HBO is stupid, paying for any cable is pathetic. I've
had XM for like 2 weeks and I wouldnt think of going without it. You
can still listen to normal radio, but also have commercial free music
that plays songs you've never heard and alot of good bands you wouldn't
know. Plus OnA, RnF, all the baseball games (which saved me 3 bucks
since i could cancel my 15 dollar a month MLB.TV thing), plus all the
news stations, local weather and traffic ALL THE TIME, live events like
other sports, concerts, comedy channels and college football games. AND
NO GAY COMMERCIALS. OnA do like 45 minutes + and then take like a 4 or
5 minutes break, maybe. Not 25 minutes then 12 of commercials </p>

<p>At least anyone now has the option to listen to Ron and Fez. Knowing they were on in D.C. and having no chance at listening killed me. I went through the same thing, but I'm sitting here listening to Ron and Fez for the first time in 2 years. This is a joyous occasion... Shell out a few bucks and you'll be happy too... </p>

FYI, before people start to take this too seriously - "K" has an agenda and always has. He is not a fan of Ron and Fez and has stirred up shit more than once, going back for awhile.

<p>I'm not going to rip this guy a new one, because until recently I was at kind of that same point. I was just tired of chasing the Ron and Fez show around. I was tired of the constant let downs and heartache of my favorite show disappearing again and again. </p><p>And yes, the thought of paying for them still sucks. But I came to a crossroads of sorts in my own mind:</p><p>Are Ron and Fez worth it? </p><p>There were only 2 answers, and for me, it was yes. I hate paying for radio. I HATE the fact that I'm paying for 2 shows, because the music stations aren't doing anything for me as of now. I hate their fucking timeslot. I hate their replay slot. I hate the fact it seems they're getting a very minimal staff to start. I hate a lot of things involved with this, but it's the ONLY WAY I have a chance of getting Ron and Fez, and their show is so good, I'm on board.</p><p>I won't say stupid things like "I'm a TRUE FAN because I'm with XM and got a Roady2 and I'm signed up" because that's self serving bullshit. If K. doesn't feel it's worth it for him, then that's that. I'm sure Ron and Fez knew they'd alienate some of their fans doing this. But the rest of us are onboard and there's not much more to say. It's a choice, and he made his.</p><p> </p><p>The only 2 things I have a problem with are this:</p><p>"I give them nine months, max."</p><p>They're going to blow up on XM and you know it. Ron and Fez are the best at what they do, they sound newly energized on those AFRO shows, and with this new found freedom will flourish, and you know it.</p><p>"No responses necessary. I won't be reading them, anyway. Just felt like venting."</p><p>You've been reading every response, come on. That is the oldest, worst line on the internet.</p>

I didn't bother getting a XM unit for my car because O&A and R&F are on while i'm at work. So the $7.99 a month for online XM stream is...cheaper than gasoline and cigarettes. I will miss having R&F in a studio 7 minutes away from my house though. What's ~$8 a month to not only hear two great shows, but loads of every kind of music? You pay $9.50 to see a two hour shitty movie ONCE. Sorry anyone has to give up on the boys because spending a menial amount of money for a subscription service doesn't sit with them. i'd prefer pay this amount rather than constantly worry that some FCC nazi rule was going to get broken and they'd be gone in that respect.
