She was horrible today on the air (or in space?).I'm grown sick and tired of her b.s. fake boring stories.AND - during the NYC R&F drought I listened to most of the great clips in the file library, and stumbled across one of "Crazy" Jen's first calls. She was a normal caller giving advice. The crazy act is a total hoax.Next time she calls in I'll be clicking over to "The Awesome 80's'" !BRING BACK BILLY !!!!!!

I don't really enjoy her being on as long as she is, but she's part of the show now and ROn and Fez seem to like her for some reason.

I think she is great. she def makes me laugh. Its better than Listening to Ealr Add nothing to the show, or even AssMan, Big Kev.... I can think of 100 people i would not want to hear. Jens keeps to convo moving and adds a lot. The others you have to PULL info from them to get them to talk. It does not make for good radio.

OK. I'll reply to my own thread....She has been a funny asset to the show in the past. Her list of 100 things she wants to do in life was hilarious (and there have been several other quality moments).But, she often tries too hard to create humor by making things up. I didn't believe a word she said today regarding her sexual encounters. There have been many cases of this over at WJFK when it was clear she full of S*it.And - when she goes too long things usually take a down-turn. She should stick to the 2-1/2 minutes like her comedy act!

Giannidesk is absolutely right about her being a normal caller when she
first started calling in.  She slowly started playing up her
accent and acting more crazy as time went on to the point where now
it's just a total act and completely fake.  I'll post some clips
of her early-call ins later if anyone is interested.   It's
totally a gimmick but it can be funny sometimes and she does add energy
to the show unlike Earl.

Personally, I like Jen on the show.  Anyone who hates Jen ought to listen to <a href="http://www.ronfez.net/displaymedia.cfm/id/2257" target="_self">this</a> (Jen breaking from getting the water torture), make sure you take it to the end.

Trenton,until her 20's and hung out in Philly sometimes.Then Married
and moved to Baltimore where she went on a feeding frenzy from combo of
nervousness and boredom,but became slimmed down when she moved to NEAR
Fairfax Va/Md(hour ride to WJFK) and became a frequent guest to the

the time.  When it's called the "Crazy Jen" show then complain
about her being on the air. 
 A baseball manager leaves a pitcher in for one
extra batter and catches hell but Ron and Fez ride that arm as if she's
the second coming of Josh Gibson and we blame who?   That
bullpen been done since 03.  How about about we stay with our
starters from here on in if they can go past 5 innings.   The show is just better off that way.

Maybe Jen needs to visit her folks in Trenton,so she's stationed closer
to NY for a few visits to R&F show.The logistics of actually
staying in NY might be too expensive and prohibitive,not to mention the
timing factor.Arranging her work schedule to fit a 20 min or half hour
window of R&F show might take some work and co-ordination.I
wouldn't be pushing it if I didn't think it was worthwhile.To lift the
veil a little,Ron deliberately scans the phone lines for ONE-SIDED
either positive or negative listeners,and plays the bit that everybody
hates Crazy Jen,when it's just a vocal FEW,like ten,which is all he
needs to get a laugh.Then Jen goes on the defensive for comedy
effect,but it's really unfair with totally new listeners,and makes
Jen's job much harder to win over new fans.....not that it's a HIGH
priority,but ruins her chance to be a regular,like Patti.I'm convinced
that Jen has inborn/inbred comedy talent.She can never go back to
culinary school. :(

I remember hearing a few segments of Jen's short-lived Radio BBQ show,finding it very entertaining how she tried out different homespun tactics to capture the listener's interests,thru believe-it-or -not news stories,Halloween stories,"adult-sophisticated" accenting her voice to sound "authoritative" and book-smart with far-fetched knowledge.TOTALLY enjoyable,even thopugh few guests.It's LIKE she was BABYSITTING kids.I think she actually did her show while the kids were doing NAP TIME.Jerry

Thanks for the flowers.I listened to R&F many times just waiting to see if Jen was on...100% true.I hoped she could be 3rd mike,but knew that the energy level was so high that it would cause friction.Having her own show wasn't the answer because the unique chemistry of the Macho Male Ron Badass and Fez "playing" the un-interested target of Jen's attention was so cool.It was like watching a travelling saleslady try to sell..sell..sell,when we knew the Fez character was either annoyed or flustered or goofing or abhored by the antics like FELIX UNGER.It was a live unscripted sit-com...like I Love Lucy without the NET.A fussy man is always funny,but better with a GADFLY. Fatty Ramone-Ya,I'm still sticking to my story that Crazy Jen is
ENTERTAINING. Look what fun R&F have at her expense,torturing her
with innane CAWLERS doing the Opie & Anthony SCREAMING RAMONE
bit.That bit evolved from some pretty simple O&A promos over the
summer.Jen is on target with her wish to get a hot dog cart.$30k a year
for working a cart is a smooth easy living if you get a good
location.That's with a few winter months off if you want (optional).You
have to pay the local authorities for a license,but very worthwhile if
you can work 5-8 hours per day and take the cart to some special
events/WEENIES FOR HIRE special occasions.I had a pothead friend who
enjoyed his cart in the 80's,and it improved his social
life.Fortunately,Jen has the Drive to Stay Alive,and could pull it
off.It's also hard to mess up cooking hot dogs.KEEP GOING JEN!!!Love
your call-ins!!!

That's interesting,I'm not saying you're wrong but Was it Steve C who
first did the screaming Ramone Phone calls(in studio gimmick) ?I
thought that's the way it went and then Jimmy just copied THAT.Was
Jimmy doing a screamer voice imitating Steve C before that(the
promos)?I only started listening online mid-summer or early summer.I
was under the impression that a screwball caller (not with the show)
started the whole screamer "Ramone" just goofing on the bit and being
an ass....not knowing it was Steve C if so.I know that sounds
convoluted...but I don't know Steve c's voice other than his
mild-mannered interviews after the HYBRID car
sounds.       I heard Bob's Fatty
Pneumonia blues song and DJ Newstyle's version.That's pretty cool that
people take the time to ride the bit and make it more fun for
listeners,because of variety and different points of view.....which
makes Billy and Blowhard and Paul O interesting in SPURTS.Love cums in
Spurts...No IT HURTS.Tell'em Richard Hell.

Richard Hell was kicked out of my old high school (Cath-O-Lick)in
Delaware 1976-77,and went on to team up with Tom Verlaine  of
Television in McKean or AI DuPont. Ron is familiar with that area
somewhat,since Chichester is close to Delaware.He was a troublemaker
thru & thru,as I told his wife,Patty Smyth.

Richard is a few years (4?)younger than me ,and my Cousin KEVIN,was in
his classes.I was school bus driving at the time(St Marks High).Kevin
was the vital link to Richard for me at the time.This will take time to
explain,but luckily,before Richard was expelled from school Kevin gave
him my ideas for Punk Rock and moving to NYC,as oppsed to staying in
Delaware(obscurity) for his music career. The name Television,I came up
with,reacting to Andy Warhol who was a savvy media whore(hole).Richard
thanked me by stepping on my bus and shaking my hand for what Kevin had
relayed to him.I only heard about him years later and ghostwrote a hit
album for his then wife Patty Smyth(1987),but she had to wait out a
previous hostile contract to put it out 1992-93(I'm fuzzy on exact
dates) including "Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough".In order to sing
like her on tape(female falsetto but not quite) I had to tear up my
vocal cords and make them swell to make my voice sound higher(slightly
painful).It would be like singing Led Zep all night in a smoky
club...then waiting for the throat to swell from irritation of
abuse.Same thing for "Ecstasy of Gold".Jerry * I gave him the line
"Love Comes in Spurts" and he completed it with "NO IT HURTS" and thus
started his music career and LIFE SENTENCE as the originator of PUNK
ROCK.

Well I guess it wasn't exactly Marlo Thomas/That Girl taking over
Manhattan with her elation and wide eyes.At least she actually did go
to NYC,and wasn't the actual CAUSE of Fez's heart attack.Again,her
husband must be a saint,and support her he did once again.I like how
Ron shows he's everyman pissed off at missing his GAMES on TV.Maybe
future generations will just laugh at what we watched on TV,like we
laugh at 50's tv.Jen will get her shot on reality TV somehow,but the
wave has to be caught in time,and she's just getting mooned by "God
Warrior" from hell.Hot Dog Cart Jen will be laughing all the way
to  the bank when she's out doing private gigs,corporate,special
events,parties.  I think the REAL edge for her would be doing
GRILLING dogs besides the hot water dogs.That will take more skill,but
it's something that few dare try,and she could easily outclass her
competition...the leading edge of grilling,over the plain and

Thanks,Perry for at least airing what I consider to be more important,the Mars stuff,just documenting it,Life on Mars and all that.The second half that you cut out was just me bragging about the musiucians I ghostwrote for,which is ancient history for most here.They REALLY don't wanna hear it.Gotta love the Twilight zone music,so appropriate....I might be one of the biggest Zone fans.My voice sounds very LISPY on the phone,which was a little strange...so does GB's voice,when I know from the radio that he doesn't swish and doesn't LissssssssP.I noticed you also cut out yourself mentioning XM radio.Lest anyone think that that was a real caller..it was farcical...he mentioned code for a certain radio talk show host....Mr Higgins,knows.My word why it was quite da tensest.I see OJ. :)

For the benefit of JERRY/j3lehane fans and haters,a fair and balanced alternative interview can be heard on the Craig Coleman Nov 12th last 2 hours of what Craig considers "Show"(in quotations).http://craigcolemanshow.com/main/index.php The parts I must warn you about is that Craig in HOUR 3 was interviewing a black guy with a book to promote.Rajen Persaud "Why Black Men Love White Women." So that takes up most of the beginning of HOUR 3 ,and I'm an afterthought in the last quarter of HOUR 3.Then I'm also on still during HOUR 4,so that between Hours 3 and 4 there's almost 40 mins of me being interviewed between a MOM in studio and her screaming hyperactive but charming kid.I'm jealous of that kid's energy level bouncing off the walls. Compare my more sedate voice on Craig's show,and being constatntly interupted and taunted ,vs. the Perrynoid inteview where I was fully awake on caffeine.My everyday casual voice is somewhere in between both extremes of laid back(with Craig) and bouncy(avec le Perignon).

Yeah,I'll have to admit that people were falling asleep in their cars during that interview.I was radio poison,so if I call in again I will really need to be better prepared.I might need some preparation from other web talk shows.Craig & Perry so far had me on twice,though Perry first interview crashed and wasn't heard in replays.Craig was way more generous with time,and more challenging,so more useful for getting prepared for other shows,trial by fire.X-zone radio from Canada gave me the better part of an hour this year.That's about it,besides local radio.

Here is where the monthly moon cycle comes into play.If you grew up as a male then you hardly noticed it,and you just ignored that the female monthly cycle sometimes dictates their patterns of behaviors and activities,even state of mind.If you think about how females are so INTO dates,anniversaries,birthdays etc...there's a reason for it.The calendar means so much more to them.Who follows astrology more?
