They are both good guys, why would they fight. I think they may not agree on where to eat, that's about it. Batman will win that fight, since he has more money to pay for a fancy meal.

Batman has great agility, he's strong, he's been studying martial arts his whole life, he's a pissed off motherfucker, and he has a utility belt. Spiderman has the ability to climb walls, he's fast, he's got spidey sense, and he shoots webbing from his wrist machines. Batman would totally kick Spidey's ass, because he's a better fighter.

Batman wins everytime, especially the Batman of the last 15 years or so, Heres why, Batman in the comics is very worried about his fellow superheros turning on mankind either on ther own or being contolled and has made emergency plans to prevent this. So if he can beat Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash,Plasticman and the Martian manhunter he can surely take out Spiderman.Just a side note, his plans were stolen and used against the Justice League without him knowing about it but they were still his plans.

I like batman a little more then I do spider-man, but spidey wins hands down. Batman does not have any superpowers, spider-man as spider sense.  In the end the hulk beats superman.

I've read about this match up on alot of other message
boards/blogs. It's unbelievable how many people think Batman
would win. Spiderman fights super-powered villians and
wins!!! Spiderman can withstand all kinds of physical punishment and
keep fighting. The combination of Spiderman's super strength,
agility and Spider-sense makes him the winner hands down. Hell,
he could sense whatever Batman might try even before he does it.SPIDEY WINS!!!

If Batman could prepare for the fight, Batman. Dropped
in cold with no prior knowledge of the others abilities, Batsy is done
in a minute. Spidey has limitations, but no outstanding
weaknesses.  A better contest would be Bats vs. Wolverine.

I never was much of a Hulk reader, but I happen to catch one with the grey, intelligent Hulk.  He and the Thing were talking somewhere, and Hulk was reading him the riot act about how Grimm had attacked the Hulk with no provocation.The comic book or scene ended something along the lines of the Thing saying "I'm sorry for fighting you".  Hulk replied "I went easy on you".I like what someone said.  Batman can beat nearly anyone if he has time to prepare.  Even without it, he has always been a smart fighter with a lot of tricks.

Batman is a scientist at what age.Peter Parker invented webbing when he was in high school, he even made special webbing that was laced with various things (acid, steel, etc etc.) he also invented his web shooters and spider tracers to track people down.  He also has assisted Reed Richards with stuff as well as Curt Connors so couldn't we say that Peter Parker is probably smarter then Bruce Wayne?

Growing up I always thought DC superheroes were gay.  Maybe it was the way they were drawn or the outfits they had on.  Either way, they just don't seem as tough as the marvel heroes.  As for the matchups - Silver Surfer could take out all the DC superheroes put together in one royal rumble.

Went to the Baltimore Comic Con today (6th year, and always getting better). Spent a shit load on a bunch of old EC Horror books from the 1950s - also went back to try and rebuild my once mighty Iron Man collection, and some other little oddities here and there. ~ The geek level was high, but not too many costumes. Last year there was an adult male dressed as NuEra Superboy, which still haunts me. The only thing that really bothers me that I saw was a BLIND MAN who was there, being lead from boot to booth, shopping. His friend wasn't the collector....his blind friend was...I am still very conflicted and unnerved. A blind comic book collector? What's next, a deaf radio personality...oh yeah, Rush...anyway, it reminded me of an old Russell Crowe movie about a blind photographer called "Proof." Worth checking out.

I think a better match up would be between Batman and Captian America.  Neither have super powers, but both have special fighting ability and Cap's shield is probably equal to whatever Batman has in his utility belt.Spiderman is too strong and agile for Batman.
