the last 2 shows on xm was the first time i heard ron and fez do thier own show. i try to like what they do but so far it is not appealing to me. i am not tring to be offensive or any thing but will i get hooked? will it get better as they get more xm experiance or do i just not know any inside jokes. agin i really want to like r&f but so far it sucks!

How long did you listen to O&A before you got hooked?I can't tell you that you will get hooked.  I can't tell you what you will like.  I can only tell you that I do love them.  Sure they may have shows that are les than spectaclar at times but so do O&A.  Right now I'm just happy to have them back so....I say give 'em some time.  It's only day three

I think they are still getting comfortable in the new setup.Give them time to get warmed up...and to introduce some of the characters that help make the show gel.

relax ...just sit back, just listen and as time passes you will get used to their style and their chemistry.Think back to when you first started listening to O&A or Stern or hell any sitcom ...it takes time.RnF have an unbelievable chemistry and they can riff like nobody else.  I will admit they have not yet hit their stride ...this has not been their best, but hang in there for the:1.Fezatorial/open letter -whatever he decides to do2. More nature boy3. bad guest4. Iris5. drinking shows6. Comedy Pyramids7. just about any topic they talk about and open the phone lines for8. Paul O and his fat crazy wife9. they also make football season even better with their great commentary RnF are an awesome radio show and I promis that they will gorw on you over time ...hang in thereeverybody gets $2.00 johnnie.$2

Earl is probably very good behind the scenes, I have never cared for him on the air ...he used to be on O&A a lot on WNEW and he sounds the same now DULL...don't look for much funny from him ...he will make an awesome punching bag  ...the funny will come from RnF bashing him ...all of the funny on RnF come from Benington and Whatley

Memo to all board members:How all of us who "get it" just ignore these posts.  We're smarter than that.  Most of us anyway.No more replies... and inane questions such as "will I like it?" will go unanswered and eventually fade away.. or at least off the active threads list.C'mon, how many times will we have to say "Give them a chance!"  It's a waste of time.

I disagree ...this guy is asking about RnF... not bashing them...I say we should ignore the idiots who say they suck ...but as fans we need to help spread the word and do these fine folks a favor and help turn them on to the show

Further, Liddy didn't post like a dick so I showed him the same respect he showed.  There is no need to bash the guy or anyone who responded.  I want him to become a fan.  I want everyone to become a fan.  It's not some exclusive club that only people who know about them can get in.  I see you're point to a degree.  Either somoene will like it or they won't all I'm saying is that he needs to give it more time.

If anyone doesn't realize that they have to give it more time and/or ask someone else I they will like it is, again, like a child.How would any of us know that they will like it?  That's assuming that everyone will like what you like.It's a waste of time.

STOP COMPARING THE TWO SHOWS.  THEY ARE NOT THE SAME SHOW.  Why do people who listen to radio have to be so one dimensional.  Am I the only one in the world that used to listen to a full day's Stern, D&M, O&A, and then Ron and Fez and was totally content with that.  Yes I listen to Ron and Fez above all but I don't question the Peter Rosenburg show.  I just don't listen to it if I don't like it.  I don't say, you are not as good as Ron and Fez, because he isn't Ron and FezJust because you like O&A, means nothing in comparison to any other show.You never hear anyone saying I like The Apprentice so you suck because you like Survivor.I like Family Guy so the Simpsons have to suck.  STOP IT, JUST STOP IT (Fez's Open letter style!)

i haven't been able to listen to the show on XM, so to the long time listeners how has the show been?  i've read on the board from posters I know have listened for a long time and they seem to keep saying they just need time to adjust.  maybe the show hasn't been as good so far.  we know it will get better, but for those who haven't heard it before i think its legit to ask if things are normally different.  the guy did say he will keep giving it a chance and hopes to begin liking it.  no need to consider the guy simple minded or a jerk.

I think Ron said it best, first you think their voices are annoying and you're like who are these 2 idiots?But then you listen cause your like, hey Fez has a funny voice, is he gay; what's going on?  Then you catch on to their funny-as-shit timing and comedic genius and your hooked, guaranteed.  Unless you don't like comedy, then I can't help you.  I've been listening and scouring the earth for feeds when they left NY. So glad they're back.

I've been trying to turn my girlfriend on to O&A for a month now with little success. It seems EVERY time I turn them on in the car, there is rape talk, overthetop cussin, and shock humor. I love it but I want to break her in slowly since she really doesn't go for that stuff. (unless they are being funny which hasn't happened in the car ride with her yet. She's only laughed a few times and I need her to crack up!) I hope to have better luck turning her on to Ron&Fez but Fez seems to have a fuckin potty mouth as of late. Timing is everything and my timing has been AWFUL lately.DAMN IM GONNA MISS MY GIRLFRIEND!!!

Hang in there because they haven't done their live Prostitute Nasdaq Report or thrown Fæces off the roof yet.I loved the bit on WNEW when they brought in all those dogs and did Red Rockets onto a bisquit and fed it to a blindfolded Al Dukes! That was GREAT! I also loved the bit where they spiked a Catholic nuns convent's drinking water with Spanish Fly. All the nuns were licking and sucking and gang raping priests. Fez's funny line "Hymens and habits are breaking tonight Ronnie" made me fall off my hooker.I hope to see more bits like these again REAL soon...

I was an O&A fan before I was a Ron & Fez fan, and, obviously they are completely different shows that go well together. It's going to take a while for R&F to settle in, and find some regular callers who have something to say besides the F Word 100 times in 2 minutes. Maybe we'll even get a comedy pyramid before the end of the month. (We'll see if New York callers are still funnier than DC callers).Nobody likes change. I didn't like it when WNEW moved R&F from midnights to mid-days to early evening. I didn't like spending an hour a day downloading show segments from the aol group after they went to DC. I didn't like Jimmy Norton when he first joined O&A (seriously. his first month there was like cancer. Now I couldn't imagine the show without him).Ron and Fez NEED to be on 11-2 right now, for the lead in. This will change. And quit complaining about every little thing. At least you didn't have to pay an extra $2 a month to hear them...

I am a Ron and Fez fan first and foremost. I listen to Oand A cuz they are there but I am not a big O and A fan. I really do not know why I love Ron and Fez so much , but I do. I could just listan to them all day like the old 'NEW days... R and F 24/7!!! Maybe their oun channel would help...Then they could bring in bubbuh the love sponge... oops  too late! SeeYa

Both shows attract diverse fan bases - there's no way that you can just paint a generic picture of what a R&F fan is or an O&A fan. Not everyone is going to like the same thing. For some people it's going to cross over, and that is cool, because you get 7 hours of entertainment right there every day. Other people just won't get it, and that can be cool too (to go back to what SKW wrote), as long as they are understand where they are when they make thie comments ~ One reason I've always liked this site is the lack of meddling. Yeah, there has been some and some complaining, but for the most part the rf.net members police the site pretty well. Someone comes on here showing their ass, or spamming, or tries to divide and conqueor, and the members on her clue right in and react - usually with humor, which I think really drives the cretins nuts.

In answer to one of his questions, yes, it will get better when you understand the inside jokes. Much of the humor is based on inside jokes which makes the listener feel more like part of the show.Case in point, BAC numbers. I found Ron & Fez through ONA, who somehow lead me to this very
website. I began downloading bits and now they're my favorite radio
show by miles. I can't really listen to ONA anymore. I place The Hideout above them now.
