Weekly Get together for those of you missing Bar 9 [Archive]

I know a lot of people miss the old tuesday nights at bar 9 with Brother Joe, Mikey Potato Head, and whoever else decided to show up from week to week.  But with Brother Joe's success with 2U and "paying tribute" to The Edge, we really can't count on that happening again.  So I offer to you an alternative.Wednesday nights at Red Rock West Saloon, at 17th Street and 10th Ave.Some of you may remember it as the after party place from the bar 9 days and know it's a good time.  Some of you may not remember it, and thank them for the alchohol induced black out and take our word that it's a good time.  And the fact that some of the bouncers knew some of you by name probably is both a good and bad sign.Your bartenders will be Erin, a nice girl with an ass that is the thing of legend, and Ann Marie, a girl who I once saw wear electrical tape as a top.  (Once I get a chance I'll post some pics of them)And next Wednesday they are having a "Back to School" party where they will be dressed as schoolgirls, with beer and drink specials, and a BBQ from 2 to 8 that day.  As long as you're drinking you're free to eat as much as you want.I'll be there at 8, and it's extremely casual.So who is up for this?

Detox. And I would never try to have a casual night out in a bar in the city on the weekend. It is just impossible.  I just assumed that people made it out for tuesdays, so Wednesdays wouldn't be any harder.

Have to pass, can't make it to work the next day after a night of drinking.  During ye old Bar 9 days, I had a job where I had minimal work and could stare at a screen all day pretending to work if I was hung over.  Last time I was hungover at my new job, I wanted to shoot myself.  Can't do analytical work whilst hungover, brain doesn't like it.  Have fun everyone!  Maybe I'll have a Thursday off soon and be able to stop by.

my massage therapy classes are wednesday nights now, so i'm out. but even if i didnt have the classes, it's just too much for me to get down to RRW from Westchester, be forced to do all those shots (yeah, they twist your arm), worry about making the last train home, and then having to get up a couple of hours later and be hung over all day at work.
