Feel free to move or lock.So many threads are about the time the show airs.I too had the same problem and panicked the entireprior week before the show started. But I figured out a way to record direct to MP3.ADS Tech Instant Music (CompUSA)You plug your XM radio  into Instant Musicwhich then connects to PC via USB Port.MusicMatch Jukebox--- Record/Settings/Delayed Record/---Set Timer.Choose Mic In as source.You now have the entire show recorded.I use Cool MP3 Splitter to make the files 30 mins each--6 Parts.

I plug my audio out on my pc into audio in on my vcr, set the timer to record on the auxillary line in.

People can record anything they obtain legally for private use.

If you have an xm sub its actually easy to record from the stream first stepobtain a copy of XAMPED. here - http://xampd.imomo.net/its more user friendly than the crap interface on the xm website. you still have to register, have an xm account and the xm id number to use. next steponce you got your xamped running go here http://www.wmrecorder.com/download.phpand get wm recorder 10this program is not freeware or shareware, you have a 10 day demo to try it out, if you like it. its 29.95 to purchase. the final stepopen your xampedopen your wm recorderclick on the stream you would like to listen to, wm recorder should find the stream automaticallyand should look something like this.

I downloaded xamp and audcity but, as i am a technical cripple,  I haven't had time to figure out how any of this shit works.  So I have been paying for xm for the sole purpose of listening to Ron and Fez and have yet to hear a single show.

Ok, so can anyone help with this one...I have the xm online
subscription..but i want to be able to set it to record R&F on my
computer somehow, while I'm at work. We already
have the airware xm 2 go, but it's a pain in the ass to record
the show on there...then convert it to MP3 (so i can listen on my mp3 player)...so I was hoping there was a
way to just set the computer to start recordng the live stream (using
xamp) at 11, stop and 2 and then it's already in an mp3 format.I think i want the impossible...but don't we all.

Here's another way:Make sure you have Call Transfer on your
home phone.  When the show starts, call the station at
1-866-RON-0-FEZ.  Ask them to put you on hold so you can hear
audio of the show.Then,  transfer the call to your cell phone, but don't answer your cell phone.  The call will go into voicemail.Later,
from your car, call your and retrieve your voicemail.  With a
proper speakerphone or Bluetooth connection, you can hear Ron and Fez
just as if they were on your car radio!(Airtime and other charges may apply.)

Check out the forums on XMFAN.comlook in the PCR and XMONLINE forums and there are programs available for FREE that is pretty much a tivo for XMonline or a PCR. I use the PCR version but I know that for the XMonline you have to use one of the other free XMonline programs like Xamp or Xstream or something like that to keep the stream going uninterupted. This program records in 1 hour, 2 hour or 4 hour blocks, and will automatically convert to Mp3s. You can set it to record everyday at the same time, switch channels to record other shows, whatever. I cant remember what the name is but search under my same username over there and I have posted in some topics regarding the software for development purposes.I use it daily to take O&A and R&F with me daily to work. Haven't missed a show since they started this way and it takes me less than 5 minutes in front of the computer a day to transfer files to my Iriver H320 Mp3 player and delete/archive files.Hope my first post helps somebody, I only registered to try and get R&F out to more people. I have been lurking here for awhile but don't really have much to add to most of the posts. Good luck.
