So far; fantastic, wow it's long.

Scorcese did the magic again, in terms of getting fantastic stuff out of Dylan for the interview segments, and the many props Dylan gives to so many; for me Odetta and, of course, Guthrie stand out.

Best part, and I guess since it's long ago history, no spoilers, and the non-Dylan fan wont give a shit anyway, but the scenes were Dylan went electric with The Band and people who walked in to see a Baez-like coffee house show being hammered by Robbie Robertson leads, and leaving in utter disgust, with many boos audible amongst the applause.

Shows even in the day when new diretions in music/art were being welcomed, there were still many who wanted to hear the same old thing over and over, keep it safe, don't dare try something new, just give them what they want...

"Paul McCartney confessed that Bob Dylan turned The Beatles on to marijuana. In return, George Harrison turned Dylan on to looking old and haggard."

never bought anything of his but he seems to have been a big influence on a bunch of other musicians... i wouldn't mind watching it, thanks for the info... pal

The DVD is magnificent.

Really, it's so fucking good that's about all I can say about it to do it justice. Even blows Scorsese's previous music documentaries out of the water.
