I left my job on medical leave and I just recently asked for my personal stuff back. I was told it was all thrown out. Could they have CONTACTED ME? No, the boss I worked for was a cunt (and You know I mean it if I'm using the cunt word). I asked her about it and she replied it was all thrown out. You think they could have contacted me so I could get my stuff? I had personal photos and a favorite pair of shoes, let alone some DVDs on my desk, They threw it all away, I was very angry in my answer to her. I know it's tough shit for me.But couldn't they contact me? Couldn't they let me know it was getting thrown out?

I'd complain to HER supervisor about it. That's a really shitty thing to do (especially since you were on leave, and didn't quit).

If you left for medical reasons there was NO reason for them to throw your stuff away.I would see about getting compensated money wise for all the things you lost. I really think you might have a legal matter on your hands right now. I would look into it. Oh yes...and if your boss did that with no remorse then she IS a cunt!

There is no way they threw it out,they took that stuff for themselves. They are theives! Sue them.So if you were out on medical leave, did you still have the job when you came back or were to terminated?

It's easy to say "Sue Them" but that takes time and money.  I know I don't have the means to sue a large company over some small personal items that just have a lot of sentimental value but no real monetary value.That's what always pisses me off.  Companies can get away doing stuff like this because the average person doesn't have the time or money to persue it in small claims or whatever is available for cases like that.Big Business wins again.We can talk about a Revenge Strategy Fuzzybutt, don't you worry.

Petrina, at my gig we had someone leave twice on medical leave with some major issues.  The issues were so bad that they were brought into the work place.Although he did lose his office while on leave, all of his personal belongings were put into a box and kept in one of the office closets, clearly marked.Are you still pulling a paycheck with the company or were you actually terminated, via your own volition or the companies?  If you're still being paid or on good terms with the company with employment waiting for you when you return, they had absolutely no right to do that and you can claim "uncomfortable work environment".  <img src="http://img227.echo.cx/img227/2240/ollie11po.jpg" border="0" /> <a href="http://www.postwhores.net/">Post whores.
