big red flag for me.  It's a crutch that shouldn't be used and I
haven't even heard the last two shows, is this thing/bit getting milked
further, geez.  Great bit with Staples and Dukes, move on. 
Oh, and quit blaming everyone other than the people that run the show.

new XM shows and the last one I heard was focused ENTIRELY on Hairy

me.  I always felt the shows at WJFK took a turn for the worse

The show is better than that, and I consider this constructive criticism.  It's ok to point out some cons once in a while, plus it give's Ron and Fez's dicks a rest from all that sippin' around here.

Earlier today I caught up with all the shows and I was actually thrilled to see that it seems they are finally back to doing the Ron and Fez show.  Please understand my intentions, yes the opinions are negative at times but are out of love for the show.  Deep down I was nervous they would revert back to that style of making either most or large chunks of the shows about interns and others that most fans I know aren't too fond of.  I believe at times everything deserves some critiquing because constant pats on the back and never acknowledging bad trends doesn't help.  I wouldn't be writing this if I didn't care.

I hope everyone reads what Steels wrote.  You can think what you want of him, but he's a man who cares about this show.  He helped keep many a fan with the show during some tough times in DC.  And he's stepped out of the way now that they're very accesible on XM by deciding not to promote the SU.  We all know there's probably one out there, but you sholdn't need it now.The older fans will from time to time criticize the show.  Does that mean we still don't love the show?  Of course not.  It's just that Ron and Fez aren't perfect, and when the show goes the wrong way we're going to say something not just to be critical, but in hopes things become funny again because we know Ron and Fez are capable of so much more.  They are the best radio show I've ever heard, period and that will never change.Like Steels said.  If we didn't care about the show, we wouldn't post here and we wouldn't offer constructive criticism in hopes the show we love gets better.

Uh, OK.I have no idea what the point of all that was.  Who was stopping people from being critical of the show?  The only people not welcome along those lines are dipshits who storm in flaming "R&F fucking suck!!!"  Some people haven't liked some of the changes along the way, others have.  Some people like certain bits or characters on the show, others don't.  Not everyone is going to have the same opinion about the show, or like the same things on-air.  A fan is a fan, whther they're old or new or openly critical or not.  What's the "wrong way" to someone is the funniest radio that someone else has ever heard.  It's ridiculous to think that anyone here has a clear bearing as to what's right and what's wrong on the show for EVERYONE.  Overall, we're all here because we're fans, in many different ways for many different reasons.<img src="http://scripts.cgispy.com/image.cgi?u=TheMojoPin" border="0" /> Too drunk to dream... << Champagne for my real friends, and real pain for my sham friends. >> "You can tell some lies about the good times we've had, but I've kissed your mother twice...and now I'm working on your dad..."

[/quote] Bottom line for me is that I'm a cheerleader because I like the show - I liked it at WNEW, WJFK and XM. I had a lot of concerns going into this new gig, but they have pretty much been put to bed. I may be one of the overprotective types now because new people are checking them out, and may be coming here as a first stop to see what their fans are like. I've listened long enough to know that if there is something on the show I don't like or don't agree with that the show has a way of working through it. If I don't like something, it's my problem, not theirs, and I can work through it without airing it out. It's not suddenly going to make them any funnier. All of that said, I do think it might help get an idea of how things are going over when people are honest with the show, if it's Jen or Harry or whatever. For me, though, most of the time I'd rather chime in when I like something than spend the time being criticial of something else. Just to elaborate further...I'm really not trying to start an argument here, I just fail to see the conflict in the first place.  My main point is that no matter how much anyone hates any one part of the show, someone else here is going to like it.  Declaring something to be bad doesn't actually make it bad, especially for the people that enjoy whatever is deemed to be of lesser quality.  And the more passionate someone criticizes something, the people who LIKE that part of the show are going to be just as or even more passionate in their defense.  This is also vice-versa when it comes to what people go out of their way to praise an aspect of the show.  In the end, it's just people who are big fans of the same overall show disagreeing...in short, it's NOT personal, and it seems redundant to try and take it that way.
