Don and Mike sorta bashed Ron and Fez the other day - they were working on some sort of comedy bit, and Don goes to Rob - no Rob we can't use Comedy Pyramid - it's been taken by cable radio or something. sheesh.  no class.

The two shows left on really friendly terms. The first real show D&M got back after R&F left there were several jokes made about WJFK kills terestrial radio careers (and there is a point, since 3 WJFK shows have gone on or will gone on to be excusive on sat radio), and how they are left all alone now at that dump. At the end of that show, Mike squeezed in a personal "Good luck / miss you" message directly to R&F. On personal notes, R&F talked about going to Freda's funeral, and Don talked about how nice and class acts both those guys were. In the context of their normal show, they bust balls with themselves and everyone. When they really hate someone, when something isn't jived up for the air, they just tend never to mention them.

Never heard Don and mike either, I guess cause im up in NY, but the way Moe goes on about these guys, im glad i never heard them then, and that is my 2 cents, ill be leaving this thread now Listen.  It PAINS me to say this because I see turning fans away from Don and Mike as my duty as a human being, but I hope you don't just take my word for it.  It seems lots of people, not on this board really, find them funny.  I just know how I felt listening to Howard Stern for so long complain about how WNEW was full of his clones and they sucked.  I actually took his word for it for MONTHS.  Then when I got fed up with Howard and checked WNEW out, I instantly fell in love with The Ron and Fez show, and later with O&A.  I felt like such a fool for listening to a radio personality.So even though I think Don and Mike are Radio AIDS, I'd want you to form your own opinion because somebody thinks they're funny, somewhere.  I can't explain it but they make Infinity a lot of money.

Yes.  Don and Mike used to be on the Midday slot from like 11 to 3, right before O&A.  They failed miserably in NYC.Of course, Don and Mike will argure that their failure was due in large part to O&A bitching about how much they suck on the air.  But let's not forget they were on in NYC before any wars, and even the heat of an onair fight couldn't make them successful in NYC.Here's an interesting question about horrible radio.  Ever heard Tom Leykis?  I think that just maybe, Leykis makes DOn and Mike look better.
