Listening to the O&A replay today where Joe Rogan compalins about Carlos Mencia stealing comedy made me think of asking this question.  I have no idea about that, and don't really like Joe Rogan either to be honest.  That argument is for another thread.Why is Carlos Mencia hosting his own show?  He's a fucking hack.  He does the most basic, played out ethnic jokes I've ever heard.  It's all "White people don't understand Mexicans and other people who aren't white" jokes.  I saw parts of his Comedy Central show ONCE, and it is TERRIBLE.  His comedy special I saw parts of on Comedy Central was terrible.Anyone else?

They both blow. I hate when O&A turn hours of
their show into a bitchfest about people stealing from them, but
Rogan's bitch fest was infinitely worse than any of O&A's. There's
nothing I'd love to hear more than a radio war between 2 Z-list
comedians.

He wouldn't let the lady from Florida get a word in because she tried to use the phrase "PhD" to solidify her being right. She never even stopped to take a second and realize that maybe if she looked some shit up, science has made some discoveries since she graduated school. As for Rogan and Mencia, up until this morning if I had seen Joe Rogan on the street I would have stabbed him in the eye with a pitchfork, now I might die for him. He absolutly killed this morning in my opinion and it was one of the best O&A shows I've heard since they went to XM. Mencia is a fucking good for nothing hack, HE'S NOT EVEN MEXICAN, why is everyone letting that slide?!

Mencia has said he wasn't Mexican, that he is
Honduran. It's one of his bits, that everyone who looks like him is
Mexican or Puerto Rican or Cuban depending on where you are. Even if
his father is German look at him. Nothing changes how he looks, and
that's how people judge him. And I thought he was funny the first time
I heard him on O&A, but his act has hardly changed since then. The
way he mugs for the camera and screams on his show is crigne-worthy. 
Rogan
is radio cancer. I don't care what the point of this thread is it can't
be said enough. At least Mencia hasn't come in and completely took over

Plus, Rogan has called out Robin Williams and Dennis Leary for the joke-stealing hacks they are very vocally in the past, so he's OK in my book.  Anyone that publically rips Leary for sucking a new level of suck should have a statue made of him for us all to dance around.

Rogan is infamous for bridge burning but he's not the first comic i've heard call Mencia Mensteala, so i have to think there's some cred there.  I hate Mencia, not only are his jokes awful, but his attitude is repulsive.

I do not think O&A say everyone is ripping them off. They have pointed out blatent ones through the years, but someone who actually tries to steal WOW should be called out. There are callers who try to say they heard a similiar sound clip or something on another show, and Opie will always point out that a lot of clips are just givens for the radio world, and a lot of people use them. its not being ripped off.  there have also been cases where a show has lifted a bit from foundry, and you can actually hear the guys laughing in the background, or something like that. i remember them talking about that once.

i dig carlos mencia. his show makes me laugh but i don't go out of my way to watch it.  some of his bits are entertaining.  do you people really think he's that unfunny?  i watch stand up on television all the time and think there are hundreds upon hundreds of stand ups that are much much worse.and sure, they don't all have their own show.  but they shouldnt' even be on the television and they are on all the time.i don't know about all the stealing nonsense, it's always gonna happen i guess.  but whatever, i think he's pretty funny and i'll watch the show till it gets cancelled.sorry, not a big pro mencia post.  i'm just surprised at all the hatred and not one other person said they dig him.  gotta give credit where credit is due.i stole that from clerks

im trying to figure out how this thread has ended up being about people complaining about rip-offs, when its actually supposed to be about Mencia. which by the way... just like everyone else i enjoy a good white joke, all your favorite comics have them, from Dave Chapelle to Jeff Foxworthy. Mind of Mencia has taken the humor out of racial humor, and turned it into a podium for slanderous rants. yeah us white folks may talk funny (or proper as i like to see it), we may eat meat loaf and cream corn, but thats funny when its part of the joke, not the punch line. ive seen mind of mencia twice, and its all i can bear to watch.

After listening to the show today I have to take
Mencia's side. First of all, why the fuck is Rogan accusing a bunch of
comedians bigger than he ever will be of stealing? If Rogan is such a
genius that Dane Cook has to steal material from him, why the fuck does
Rogan have to resort to Fear Factor and UFC to make any money, two jobs
that require zero comedic talent? Say what you want about Mencia, his
show is awful and his act is stale, but the show is getting a second
season. He's much bigger than Rogan will ever be. It's probably
jealously. That's why Menica didn't give a fuck and why Cook and Leary
don't give a fuck. Because nobody cares about Joe Rogan.And at
least Mencia's segment today was funny, at times despite him. He didn't
ruin the show, and that's what's most important to me.

Carlos was terrible on the show yesterday.  I had to turn of my replay because he was laughing so loud at nothing.  He sounds like he should be on a morning zoo show with that awful laugh.MORNING ZOO MENCIA........ AND STOP SAYING FUCKING BEANER..............IT IS SO FUCKING ANNOYING!!!!!!!!!!

I think the main point here is that they are both fucking hacks.  Mencia blew enough execs to get a show, and Rogan White Collar throat yogurt to get a non-comedy gig with Fear Factor.  They're both fairly successful at this point, but neither of them is really any good.You know the part that really bugs me about Rogan?  He's trying to get some tough guy persona going, and he's a fucking horrible individual.  I barely chuckled at any of his stuff, and he maybe you pick it up in person but he doesn't look tough at all on TV.

He said its just Punisher, cause The Punisher is trademarked. He
claimed that they really gave him that name, and he must actually use
it cause he sells hats that say Punisher. He stuck by that one
