Steve Carrel and Kayne West kick off this season. I hope Ferrel makes an appearance.

I think Lance Armstrong and Sheryl Crow are next week or the week after.

Paul McCartney will appear later in the season...supposedly.

I'd like to see Prince make another appearance. His new record drops soon.

Tina Fey is out for at least the beginning of the season. They can't
let Amy do Weekend Update alone. My guess is Seth Myers fills in.

Yeah, SNL was pretty good last night. For the first time I laughed

I'm betting it was a one time thing though.

Mike Myers was funny, and that Kanye song is good.

The married couple that fights in public is always great (The Needlers). Glad to see them make a return.

Debbie Downer is always funny. I wonder why they always stick it towards the back of the show. That skit belongs in the first half.

Horatio was a bit boring during the news. I was expecting to see Seth take over for Tina. That would've been a better choice. I was also expecting to see Steve Carrell do SOMETHING during the news. Between The Daily Show and Anchorman, it seemed like a natural way to work the host into Weekend Update.

EXCELLENT little cameo by Mike Myers. That was killer.

Next week: Jon Heder and Ashlee Simpson.

Anyone know of a good site to download SNL videos from? Not necessarily the whole shows, but different skits and such. The NBC site only has a couple on there..

Actually, sadly enough, the one I want the most is a Weekend Update with Horatio Sanz as Elton John, where he's debuting "Interview with the Vampire: The Musical"

Not the best in the world, but still pretty damned funny.

I know Ron and Fez hate Mad TV but I actually think it's alot more entertaining than SNL --at least it was a few seasons ago. It was at it's peak when it had Alex Borstein (who writes and does voice for Family Guy) , Mo Collins who I thought was great and Will Sasso.

Mad TV? Unwatchable! How is it still on the air? About 5 years ago they had a funny mexican wrestlers bit, but that's about it. It's been the same 3 bits re-hashed over and over again. Can't make it through 5 minutes of that show. SNL has been pretty crappy too lately. The new cast members seem talented, but the writing sucks. Caulk=hack

I fail to see the appeal of ANY aspect of MadTV, and Lord knows I've had plenty of chances to see it since Comedy Central plays the damn thing at least 8 times a day. It's obnoxiously loud, the punchlines are painfully obvious, and they rely on hideously awful parodies and impersonations that end up coming across something that an 80's hack comedian in a rolled up suit jacket wouldn't dare to do in front of a brick wall.

The ability to laugh at yourself and just have fun regardless of what people will think.

I happen to like this season better than the previous seasons. It's not exactly there yet, though they are building up for some great shows. I mean when Farley, Spade and the others first got on it wasn't exactly great either though the show eventually found it's rhythm. I read an enterview with Lorne Michaels who said it's in a transition stage right now and I have to agree. It's sort've getting there. What I like best about it is that they're giving the new performers the chance to make something of themselves right off the bat which is great.

I like Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, Andy Samberg, Chris Parnell, Darrell Hammond and Will Forte, I'm not saying the sketches are great, but I can see they're building to some good stuff.
Spread The Osirus...Reef on MySpaceRight now you could care less about me... but soon enough you will care, by the time I'm done

Concious effort on their part to NOT be in tune. Their attitude is "get it right in the studio but let it all hang out on stage". They also feel that "the songs are good enough to stand on their own so, might as well put on a show for the people in the cheap seats". That's practically a quote from an interview I read.
