I'm a DisneyWorld nut and try to plan a vacation down there every other year or so. I have to say it's not one of my favorite rides, though. I love roller coasters, and I'm not a pussy, but I just can't take anything that spins you around like that.

They actually had to tone the ride down since it's opening. During the grand opening they had actuall astronauts try it out and they said it was pretty damn near the same as the simulators they used to train on in NASA. I was talking to one of the ride people and they said that the first couple of months they had people passing out and throwing up several times a day. I don't know if they're still there, but when I went on it there were barf bags available in front of the seat.

There was a four year old kid who died on it this summer. I never heard if they ever announced a cause of death. The thing has more warning signs on it than any ride I've ever seen. I would never bring my four year old on it. But I guess this kid must have been tall for his age and if he made the height requirement then Disney could not stop him. But the parents are assholes for ignoring the signs.

Soarin is the best ride at Epcot. It really makes you feel like you're flying over San Francisco. When I flew over the forest, I could smell the pine trees. Sooo cool!!!!

Don't go to Disney between June - August to avoid the long lines. We went 2 weeks ago and we had the place to ourselves!!!

Don't go to Disney between June - August to avoid the long lines. We went 2 weeks ago and we had the place to ourselves!!!

I agree. I go to Disneywordl every year (twice this year) in either April or September. April is usually wicked crowded with spring breakers. September is usually not that crowded. The only downside is that not all of the food places are open, and the possible hurricanes.

As for Mission: Space, that one's a doozy. I've ridden some pretty gnarly rollercoasters, but those virtual rides really make me disoriented.

I have been on Mission Space at least 10 times since it first opened. The best thing to do is ignore all the rules and look around as you "fly". Also remember to eat at least three of those disney dogs just before you go on it. That ride is too short though. they should add about three minutes to it .

you have two choices: Castration or a one way ticket to New York

I'm also a WDW addict but I won't step anywhere near Mission: Space. My brother went on it and was sick for the whole day.

I went to Disney World. They had these cable cars in the sky. While we were up there, we were able to see the construction of a new attraction, called "Pirates of the Caribbean". By the way... this was in 1973. I spent a few hours at Epcot in 1988... Just before my graduation from Navy boot camp.

Has the place expanded since then?

I'm getting married in WDW next summer, in EPCOT. But not on
Mission Space. That is a great ride though. I love Rock N'
Roller Coaster in MGM. It starts real fast 60MPH or something
like that.
No. I never have the opportunity to get my ass down there.
I do still have 2 tickets that I plan to use to visit my cousin who is
working Fright Fest. She gets to walk around and "scare"
people.

I live about 20 minutes away so I have a season pass to Great Adventure. I've only been on Kingda Ka once though, because believe it or not the line can be as long as a SIX hour wait.

My suggestion to you if you really want to ride it is to do what I did. Get to the park at around 9:15 am. They'll let you into the park around 9:30 am. You go in towards the carousell where they have security guards and a roped off area keeping you from the rest of the park. Around 10:00 am they drop the ropes and its a mad dash for Kingda Ka.

Once I got there I waited on line no more than 10 minutes (not counting the time I spent at the roped off area). It's an awesome ride but I can't justify waiting more than a half hour for a ride that lasts under twenty seconds.

"It's easy to grin, when your ship comes in, and you've got the stock market beat.
i always found epcot to be boring, except for stopping at each country to sample one of their beers.

the tower of terror at mgm was a lot of fun
