Do all EZ-Pass states charge $1 a month service?

<p>Just saw my first statement.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>$1 a month service fee.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>What a massive rip off.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Do all states charge this amount?&nbsp; I have the NY one.&nbsp; How about PA or DE or MD or anything else?&nbsp;</p>

<p>I am mailing my ez pass back to them and canceling my account.</p><p>Apparently ny added the service charge in july and told no one about it.&nbsp; Outrage everywhere.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Going to switch to Maryland, they have no fees.<br />

I do have to add that my family recently signed up for EZ Pass in NJ, and a dollar surcharge or whatever it is was part of the deal each month.&nbsp; I didn't feel it was such a big deal, just another little bullshit charge any government agency would try to tack on to raise more money like they don't take enough from us.&nbsp; Fucking leeches.

as a person who uses EZ pass at least 3 times a week i&nbsp;have no problems&nbsp;paying the $1.&nbsp; so i can't play the lotto one time a month, no big deal.&nbsp; yes there are the idiots who without fail get into the wrong line and it slows you down, but not nearly enough that on some days you can skip a good 20-30 minutes of waiting on line.&nbsp; if i could save 20-30 minutes every time i use the EZ pass, i would pay the $1 each trip.

Bah!

I went with the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commision tag as they had no monthly fee. Got a letter yesterday that they now will be charging the same $1 fee like other agencies in the area.

Bunch of jerks. They hook you then start charging.

Going to cancel it today, already signed up with the Peace Bridge EZ Pass, should get new tag next week. No fees from them. For now.

I have it thru the MTA and there is no monthly fee. You just have to pay the inital $25 balance and I think you might have to pay for the tag deposit should you not opt to use your CC. The benefit is you get discounts on some local MTA bridges. You don't get that with Peace Bridge.

i had an ez pass account that i closed 4 years ago. im still getting statements that say i owe a dollar per month. then i remind them. then it starts over again.
